Congrats for making them 2 team trades. . I'm proud of you. If Griffin/Rice = SAR, why settle for Fortson? Do you think he's better in the 4 role than PJ Brown or Kurt Thomas? I don't think of Fortson as an enforcer. I think of him as a cherrypicking stathound. Cato for Jon Berry and Rebracca? I like getting these guys and getting rid of Cato's contract, but don't see why Detroit does this, as posted by others. I see Cato to Milwaukee, NY, or Toronto - teams that don't have Wallace. Mobely for Cassell. Again, don't see the players line up here. Perhaps that's why you had the 4-way? Bucks have too many good 2s already. I don't think Sam is the kind of guy to support Steve, either. Can't play D, dribbles, looks for his own shot. I'd rather have an Alvin Williams/J.Crawford/J.McInnis type. And team that backcourt with Odom. But I've posted that before. Thanks for your contributions past and present, HT. Appreciate your thinking things through, even if I disagree. p
As a Rockets fan I want NO PART of any trade that has us acquiring Danny Fortson. He seems to be a malcontent in GS and apparently did not improve enough thus Troy Murphy took his spot in the GS rotation. Fortson also has a terrible contract. No WAY would I part with Griffin for that!
I agree. MoT is better -- much better. However, I like K.T. over Fortson -- but then I guess I'm not much of a Fortson fan. Uh, but that also means I like MoT -- and the Griffin --waaaay more than Fortson.
Sorry, Hottoddie. I forgot to put a "wink" in there -- I know the Warriors will never just release him although they would love to get rid of his contract. However, I don't think he's worth MoT or Griffin -- or K.T. for that matter.
