Yet another player has spoken. Im telling you the players are in the meeting rooms when their coaches are telling them dont worry about the other scrubs on the rockets, just contain 13 and we win. And for Harden to still go out there and get 40 a night while leading his team to the 2nd seed in the west is amazing to the players

JJ Redick in a Zach Lowe post has Harden as MVP and so does Eric Gordon

Good. People should take the player MVP more serious than the media one. It's not like Blake is voting for Chris Paul. I'd trust the players to know more about the game of basketball than the media.

Ideally, I think the coaches and assistant coaches of the NBA should select the MVP so there's less player bias, but the basketball knowledge is still there.

I bet Curry is left off the NBA 1st team (Harden and Westbrook as the guards).

Side note: people who use Curry's last night performance that was needed for GSW to put away Portland as an MVP arguement- that's what Harden has had to do so regularly throughout the season.

Sadly it's over . Media needed this game from curry and they got it to use it as an example why he's mvp .

Not saying I agree with it. But there is no way he's left off. He's a lock. He is the darling this year.

Ironic that the one game they needed from Steph was the same type of stuff that the Rockets needed from Harden all year.

TBH I agree what what you're saying. It seems like they all know James is technically the "most valuable" but are just looking for things to help them feel better about vote emotionally, not logically.

I like that Harden has been saying things about how he things he's proven hes the MVP. Makes me think that he'll definitely take the gloves off.

The two games after Harden comes out and says he's MVP material and he lays two duds against the defending champions. Voters are short-sighted and they're going to remember this. I'm pretty sure Curry's 45 pt game compared to Harden's recent play sealed it for Curry.

Harden is MVP - Pop confirmed

Harden is the MVP in my opinion. When a coach as good as Pop's strategy with a championship team is to hack Josh Smith so many times just to keep the ball out of Harden's hands, it says a lot.

I'm pissed like everyone about last nights game, but it was one game. Important in standings, but as long as we are in the playoffs, we have a chance. I bought my tickets to the first two playoff games yesterday and am so excited.

I look at the MVP as a season long effort. No one has done more with less than Harden. A big argument against JJ Watt for MVP was that the Texans didn't even make the playoffs. Well, the Rockets are making the playoffs and most of that is due to Harden. So I am working on my tshirt for the playoffs, which do you like, red shirt or black shirt? That is my biggest concern right now. The Rockets will take care of business, they just make it a bit dramatic.
