If Harden has his usual great game against the Spurs I wonder if that will open up some eyes in comparative to how Curry just played against the Spurs...
LeBron can use the same argument as Harden - that the Cavs were **** when he was out something like 2-9 LeBron has great stats across but just becuase he is LeBum people compare it to his previous years and of course he falls short there
Curry played very well today. He didn't go nuclear like Harden today, but he played a good game. Didn't get much help from his team for once. Lebron coasted the first two months of the season, then took a two week vacation, and is now dominating. Harden/Curry have been dominating from Day 1.
Yeah, I mean he had 24 points and 6 assists. He didn't have a bad game. I just mean if Harden has another 35+ point game or puts up some other silly numbers in a win. If it is a dramatic win then you are going to see some of the sports writers talk about it I'm guessing. Harden usually plays very very well against Spurs for whatever reason.
Just havin' fun with the Harden haters <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>Splash bros combine for 30 points. Together they almost make a complete <a href="https://twitter.com/JHarden13">@JHarden13</a> or <a href="https://twitter.com/russwest44">@russwest44</a>! <a href="https://twitter.com/AminESPN">@AminESPN</a> <a href="https://twitter.com/SherwoodStrauss">@SherwoodStrauss</a> <a href="https://twitter.com/TrueHoopTV">@truehooptv</a></p>— James Garcia (@sephkane) <a href="https://twitter.com/sephkane/status/584894826727936000">April 6, 2015</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
I believe the door is now open for Harden. If he does well against Kawhi on Wed & Fri, he has a good chance to win MVP.
Any of those games on national TV? Do you think the fact that Curry might not even be the best in his position should hurt him? I mean, there are plenty of people who would take Paul or even WB before Curry. lol
Curry will steam Hardens MVP trophy because its a media driven train. We will secure the 2nd seed and square off against GS in the WCF where Harden will destroy the trash bros.
I was surprised when Harden led the fan vote during halftime vs OKC. It appeared hope was lost with the extra love for Curry recently. There's still a glimmer of hope!!!
Never doubt Morey. I'm telling yall. I would bet that analytics are being used to secure the vote for Harden
harden is hated online, absolutely loathed, if you're under 25-30, not a houston supporter, engaged enough online to frequent social media, youtube and vote on a web poll, you probably hate james harden but he seems rather popular to the tv audience the generation of the tv audience is quite a bit older than the online audience, that being said, so are the voters I'll also note that the people with the most influence over the tv audience are the play callers, they don't read articles by ethan scrub, they don't read tweets by screamin a smith, they don't even listen to podcasts by simmons
Found this on Reddit. Not mine but very well made. Had me smiling after the first couple of minutes. What a season Harden as had! <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/HINZYsuQhvw" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Friday game at TC is on NBA TV. ESPN is showing a couple of trash games Wednesday. Regardless of WB or CP3, Curry is the media darling because he is so stylistic, makes beautiful highlight plays and GS is having such a great season. "Best player on the best" argument closes the sale for some people.
Curry should have scored 45 if thats what his team needed from him. When the jumpshots dont fall the Dubs dont have an inside presence or a penetrator that can take the contact time after time. Body them up, force tough shots and you have a good chance they are not the defensive team they were at the beginning of the season.
Curry is every bit as valuable as Blake Griffin is to the Clippers. Media loves him, makes fantastic plays that are popular amongst spectators. Without his sidekick though he is vastly more limited. The only difference is the Warriors have had more success this year than the clippers have ever had. I firmly believe the Clippers a year or two ago was about the same talent level as the warrior but the Warriors have just been more fortunate this season. Irony is that Blake Griffin was talked about briefly for MVP either last year or the year before and they too were destined for failure in the playoffs...just like Golden State That being said. Harden is infinitely more valuable to his team (2ND in the west) than Curry is to his. Thompson, Green, POSSIBLY EVEN Harrison Barnes or Iggy could fill in for Curry of needed and they would still be okay. Rockets would have Brewer or Terry to pick up Hardens slack, gosh forbid
Only players to average same pts/ast/reb/stl as Beard has this year are Jordan (1989) Bird (1987) LeBron (2008)
If one statistic could be used to determine MVP, it would be Hollinger's "Value Added" statistic along with "Estimated Wins Added". Harden is clearly #1 here in both statistics. Btw, kind of incredible that Anthony Davis is #2 despite 13 less games played than Curry
