Davis isn't on a max contract. He's making 5 million on his rookie contract. That makes his easily the best contract in the NBA. Curry's contract is way better than the other 3, though.

Every team supports their players when they are up for an individual award. Look at the lengths the Bobcats are willing to go to trying to get MKG the DPOY award. And that award doesn't mean near as much as the MVP award. If anyone is salty in those chain of tweets, it's Lowe for commenting about Morey and the Rockets while not addressing all the other teams promoting their players for individual awards. Oh, and also... an obligatory lol at your saltiness over what you perceived as saltiness from MOREY.

Curry will win the MVP, but when the Rockets and Warriors meet in the Western Conference Finals James will tell Steph, "that's my trophy, son." He will then play the series with a chip on his shoulder and lead the Rockets to a 4-2 series win. :grin:
Curry winning would be akin to Nash winning it a decade ago. A wrong decision based on win-loss record and media perception. A largely white male dominated institution is looking for someone to raise up, someone they can preferably relate to. But I get it. It all comes down to entertainment in the end. I'm the only Rockets fan I know that is indifferent on Harden winning mvp. My reasoning is that, if it turns out that we get to face Golden State in the WCF, then we stand a better chance with Curry winning MVP rather than with Harden having the distinction. We're Rockets fans after all. Let's not forget 1995. Olajuwon standing there watching Robinson receive the award around his smug, top seeded Spurs. Feeling the anger, indignation well up in his gut. "That's my MVP."
Oh well, love it love it ... but Dream had that nastiness that was other worldly in the playoffs. Harden is getting there. But dominating in the playoffs is a little different.
That still doesn't make his performance the most efficient, especially when you consider his 7 turnovers.
Nash won it the year when Kobe was going insane and scoring 81, right? Nobody had a problem when Kobe won the MVP a few years later. I don't think it's necessary the media looking for a player that a white male could relate to. I doubt any typical white male is going to relate to Durant, Lebron, Jordan, etc... But I do think that there is a huge overwhelming bias towards the player on the better team. That's the part that sucks. Voters historically have seemed to just rank all teams by win/loss and then go down the list asking themselves if there is a franchise player playing at an elite level on the team or not.
What I don't get is this: Everyone is saying Curry will win the award but Harden deserves it more.....yet a good number of people who have a say (e.g. vote) in this matter can actually get Harden his MVP trophy. It's like "Um, you can actually change the outcome of the MVP votes by voting for the person that deserves it more, genius. Grow a pair and stop with the sheep act"
It's sad. If next year Morey gets an actual PG and Dwight plays like Dwight the Rockets will be the #1 seed and people will find some reason as to not give Harden the MVP. This year it'll be "Well, his team had the best record. What can you do? Best player on best team." Next year it'll be "Most Valuable player." or some other &%*# Harden is hands down the MVP. To have this record when your team has never been fully healthy is just insane. I'd argue the Rockets would not be far behind the Warriors if they had their luck when it comes to injuries.
Things is that Kobe's Lakers sucked that year so it's no comparison to what's happening now. Curry is not even a white male, so... I think it's crazy that people are trying to justify how great Curry is by looking at how great the Warriors are. Sure, Curry has a big big part in it but it's nothing compared to what James Harden has done for a less talented, more injury plagued Rockets team.
