If we move into 2nd place & Harden doesn't play poorly for these last few games. He should win it no question about it. I just don't see how you don't give it to him with all his accolades & having ALL these injuries & STILL getting the 2nd seed in the west??? It's not that Curry ISN'T deserving, it's that Harden's even MORE deserving.
51 points and the Rockets really needed all of them to win. I don't think anyone was surprised when the Kings made their big comeback at the beginning of the 4th when Harden sat. MVP
51 points...so impressive. Wait it was against the Kings? The Rockets only won by 4 points too? MVP goes to Harden and the first round exit Rockets!
Not with Howard sitting out half the season. You forgot Jones (but again his injuries affected that) and now Beverley and Dmo out. You think that team gets better than 42 - 32? (8th seed)
Can we not be excited about our team and our players? There's no such thing as a jinx. That is only a human aberration
Us getting the 2nd seed and Harden playing poorly is a paradox. He is going to need to play like a total MVP for us to get wins over Dallas, Spurs x2, Thunder and Pelicans.
You need to go out and bet $300 on Stephen curry. If he wins you get money. If he loses you get money. It's called hedging.
ESPN is really going to have segment on that Curry crossover from last night? Seriously? I mean, it was pretty sick but not "OMG, dude just killed a player" great. Pretty much affirms Curry is going to win the MVP, and was going to win this award from the 2nd week of the season. He can play like crap the rest of the season and ESPN will highlight him hitting a three or making a fancy move.
This is why IMO NBA awards are opinionated awards and hold no credence, other than the Larry O'Brien. Voters have a bias going into this and we as a team are not well received by the nation. Curry is flashier and attracts fans from all around. He will win. If the award was given on the accuracy of the title, voters should have a stack of papers showing with numbers and facts, and something tangible, showing how Harden truly fits the definition of MOST VALUABLE. Maybe the NBA should implement a fan-voted award called the 'Best Player' and give that to Curry. The country still doesn't understand what Harden means to this Rockets team. If they award a Scoring Title for the player who scores the most points (something tangible to award), then the same should be done with MVP.
