i can't believe so many of us think tmac will be MVP of the rockets... so TMAc if you are reading it.. please stay healthy and do your thing.. your boys here will back you up.. and your boy Artest will back you up on the court.. NO need to fear Boozer and Matt Harpring anymore.. :D

So lets play Yao on guard spot and at the end of day we'll recover our pg problem with Yao ?

Back to topic I believe this year McGrady will be the hero of Rockets and I predict he's gonna be the NBA Mvp if everyone stays healthy .

C'mon god , I cant wait until the November .

I have a better chance of being the MVP than Luther Head.

Absolutely right but feeding T-Mac , Scola , Artest , Rafer is not the main job of Yao . You cant give any abstract award (like being Mvp of the Rockets ) to Yao with considering only his passing skills . Your first post is looking like you're thinkin that way .

T-Mac, all he has to worry about now is score, so he would probably produce more 30 point games next season.

Toss up between Yao and T-Mac. Whoever plays the most games. I'd give the edge to T-Mac because today's NBA is a guard oriented game. Also, depending on whether he starts or not, Artest could sneak up and end up being the most important player on our team. Teams will focus their defense on T-Mac and Yao, leaving Ron all by his lonesome. Plus we all know what he can do on defense.

    Yao.

When healthy, he is so good.

But, McGrady will be Finals MVP.

Ridiculous, the team adjusted well w/o Tracy last year.

I think the MVP of the team will be all three of McGrady, Artest, and Yao. There will be injuries and I see each of them rising to the occasion and putting their stamp on the season.

I sure hope so. The guy isn't the most efficient player and he doesn't move very well without the ball.

it depends on how you define MVP. if you talk about offensively, i think it'll be tracy b/c he remains our main guy who can literally do everything. if you talk about defensively, it'll be artest and battier. if you talk about leading by example (practice hard...), it'll be yao and battier.

though tracy i believe is our most indispensable player, our team is now too balanced to depend on just one guy. i think if tracy is out for 10-15 games, we'll do just fine without him b/c of artest.

McGrady has been this team's MVP for the last four seasons, and I don't expect that to change this year... though I really don't care so long as we win.

is it good for rox we discuss who is the MVP here before the season ?I think we should talk about it when the new season is over. And now, all of the rox is MVP.

I hope this is true, because I feel like TMac HAS to be the guy if we're going to be real title contenders.

Artest and Yao are nice compliments, but they aren't going to take us to the promised land unless McGrady is able to go full force.

He is still the guy that can provide that star factor, that can carry a team on his shoulders for stretches. He HAS to be the Rockets MVP if we're to advance.
