I think someone is writing on Deke's behalf. Too many grammatical errors.

    Dear Fans.

I am so happy to write about our victory against San Antonio, 87-85. This was the closed game for the Rockets in the long time. You only see game like this during the playoff. To me, it was a playoff.. It has been a while that we have been prepared ourselves for this game. We went toe to toe with the Spurs and did not led them get what they wanted. They have been a division champion for a while with Tony Parker , Tim Duncan and Bruce Bowen, and we want to close up to them before the season end. I know that they miss Ginobi but we knew what we have to do. Ron Artest played great and we got another wonderful performing from Scola. Luis with 17 rebounds and 19 points. Scola has been doing his thing everyday. Yao made 2 greats passes to Scola to secure this victory in the end of the 4 quarter. Tim Duncan and Tony Parker had 23, 22 points but it was not enough to beat us.

This has been a good week for us and me. My beautiful daughter, Carrie Biamba Marie Mutombo turned 12 years on march 18th. To me as a father, it was a new number because it was not a long time ago that my baby girl was born. I remember changing diapers and today, she is a big woman. God is good. Next time I know, she will be in college. My others 2 boys are the most precious gift for me from this world. They are 8 years and 5 years, they are big and grow up everyday.

As we go to Utah for our next game, I hope that we will bring the same fight that we had against San Antonio to them. This team has stood in our way for long time. See your next.

Still, I love the clip of the impersonations. I can't stop laughing after seeing this video dozens of times. Can't wait for more Mutumbo moments.

I am sitting here in Utah, a day after an improbable win against the San Antonio Spurs. San Antonio is one of the most difficult places to win and I am really proud of our team to show perseverance and fortitude in our win. We have had so much malaise this year, from the injuries to key players on the team, to the trades, to the bad losses to last place teams and to the lack of chemistry. Considering all of the things that have happened to our team, it's pretty amazing to look at the standings today and see that we are in first place in the Southwest division and in second place in the tough Western Conference.

I really can't explain it, other than we have a group of players who play hard, try to play together, and don't make excuses. We have had so many guys step up all year long, it has been a true team effort.

People ask me what team that I would prefer we play in the playoffs. I learned long ago that I never hope to play a team nor do I try to duck a team. The Western Conference is so good, we know that we will play a great team regardless. So we don't wasting time worrying about it.

We have another tough game tomorrow against the Jazz. Hopefully we can keep this train rolling!

On another note, this is a very stressful week in the Battier household. My beloved Duke Blue Devils are playing the Villanova Wildcats in the NCAA tournament on Thursday. As you know, I went to Duke and won a national championship in 2001, what you don't know is that my wife, Heidi, attended Villanova University. There has been trash talking already. Our son Zeke will be wearing his Duke shirt and Villanova hat and socks. He feels very conflicted for a 10 month old. Many of my wife's friends are talking trash as well and we have already placed a few wagers on the game. It will be a tough game for Duke, but it will be much tougher for me if they lose! So GO DUKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Be well,
    Shane
