I think Berry needs to spend some time teaching Brooks how to give the ball to Yao. Berry is so used to giving the ball to a posting player having played with duncan. When berry is in the game he gives the ball to Yao so effortlessly, and the placement is also key. How many times we see Brooks give the ball to Yao to have a defender poke at it from behind causing a turn over and making Yao look bad. This to me is Brooks biggest problem, maybe if he could give the ball to Yao better he wouldn't dribble so much

I have a bad feeling this thread isn't dead yet.

The bad Aaron was on display on his first major touch - passing up open shots TWICE in one possesion in favor of driving inside of a clogged lane with nowhere to go. Result: TO

This is what I hate to see and what he did in those three bad Portland games. :(

When he's open he has to take the shot, not wait for the defense to come to him so he can drive.

Aaron Brooks is the most useless starter in the league and the clear cut worst starting PG in the NBA right now and it's not even close. Anybody who thinks he's better than Rafer Alston might want to think again, because at least Rafer knows how to pass it to Yao.

Aaron Brooks has a lower IQ than Amare Stoudemire's IQ minus Mike Tyson's IQ.

The answer of his IQ is actually 15.

One great game and the Tony Parker comparisons are activated again. What's funny is he isn't even the best PG on his own team. Why don't people here compare Lowry to some great PG?

Teams adjust. Can Brooks adjust? So far it's been a horrible Game 2 for him.

No because I can probably think of 50 PGs better than Aaron Brooks I'm sure Airballston would be in the list.

Brooks needs to go, he's supposed to get Yao the ball, not ignore him.. Any time Yao only takes 1 or 2 shots a game, its always Brooks fault. get him out of here

It will because he is Jekyll and Hyde.

Brooks does his job, doesn't hesitate, hits a beauiful open 3.

Next possession he comes down, pases the three, runs under, beats every single laker one-on-one, TWICE, runs out, ends up taking a contested awful shot in the corner that's knocked away by fisher

The only thing consistent about him is his INABILITY to pass it to Yao. That's it. He has absolute zero credibility and worthy to me at all.

If I were the GM, Aaron Brooks would have to pay me to play for this team.

He can't pass to Yao if he is on the bench - that's not the problem tonight. THe probelm is the bad decisions.

No, even when Yao is on the court. Aaron Brooks ignores him on PURPOSE. Honestly, It's not that hard to pass it to a 7'6 player. Aaron Brooks is just a jerk.

That repost position was painful to watch, not to mention pick and roll with Yao has lost dribble, turnover.

He's good at shooting 3s, can't be trusted at creating, and downright terrible at decision making.

Now the spacing is all bunched up because Artest has to handle more ball.

Don't let me start at defense.

Whatever. I'd like to see your posts after you think Brooks had a good game. Then let's talk.

To be honest, I was happy when AB played great in 1st game.

Like I said, Lakers will make an adjustment, let's see how AB responds. In this game, he responded by dribbling or holding the ball again, by drive into a crowd instead of taking open shots, by ignoring Yao on the very first opening chance to get his own shot blocked and a fastbreak by Lakers.

A huge game by Artest is wasted. Yao should take the biggest blame for his lame defense, after that, it's clearly AB, on both ends of the floor.

That should take about 5-6 games, you willing to wait that long for a post.

Look guys, AB is just terrible as a PG. To me, AB should be running the second unit with Von Wafer and Landry.

You can dig a bit to find the thread praising AB after game 1. (ironically that thread has 4 replies and 3 star, haha). It's not hard. Don't talk when you don't know things.
