Not exactly. But feel free to assume that I think like you do. Course, you'd be wrong but what can ya do?
Or, if Brooks would continue this kind of dumb plays, get the ball out of his hands. Is it so hard to interprete it the correct way? What's the big deal about this thread? OP shouldn't even complain?
No, I 100% agree with venting, that is what fans should do, but in the proper place, this was a thread about one game, and it was the definition of knee jerk, it should have gone into the Game thread..... No one ever said AB had a great game 5, he had a bad one....but to take the ball out of his hands is 100% the wrong thing to do. TEACH him to make better decisions, that is 100% the right thing to do. DD
As DD said, it probably went better in the post game discussion thread. Since it was primarily kneejerk about game 5. And to complain about a player not even starting half a season's worth of games seems a bit illogical to me. I would have been more surprised if Aaron played like a savvy veteran the entire Blazer series.
So you think the team should take the ball out of his hands? "Must take ball out of Brooks hands"....that is the thread title and the OPs suggestion...you agree with that? DD
I would suggest you bring it up to the forum managers if this really concerns you. As you mentioned, AB just started for half the season, so before he establishes himself as a legit PG, his gameplay needs to be scrutinized whenever it's out of hands.
Read it again. It doesnt say what you think it says. It says you think I think a certain way when in fact I don't. No malicious intent. No backhanded anything. But anyhoo, back on topic shall we??
Actually it doesnt. Aaron.must.make.better.decisions would still work. And I think had the OP gone this route, this thread would have been incredibly different. But he went over the top(knee-jerk) and this thread is what it is.
Exactly....you have earned yourself some Green in this thread by your understanding of the situation..... DD
I wouldn't try to point you back to the original post, and I wouldn't suggest to watch the game one more time. However, the fact that you failed in recognizing how AB actually controlled ball less is surprising. You could interprete OP's post in many ways, but pityfully you chose the wrong route.
Why do you insist on hanging onto one game? Brooks has been an overwhelming positive in the playoffs. He has a high ceiling, has made his fair share of mistakes, but is progressing. I honestly don't see what the problem is. He obviously earned management's trust, enough to ship off Rafer and get the starting role. He was told to be aggressive, he did what he thought they wanted. It wasn't effective so he worked with them to adjust his game and came out very effective in the second round. He has the skills, he has the opportunity, he has the right attitude, he just needs the experience now. Give him a break.
LOL, I can scream "DD must not change his position a million times", but it wouldn't help. I can prob say "Aaron must make better decisions" most of games, but at some point, someone from the team, someone from the top must do something to reign him in. I'm glad the team reigned him in this time, I'll watch the progress.
You missed the point. I was simply upholding OP's opinion in that Brooks needs to control less ball and focus on attacking smartly or else he's to be benched. OP didn't get any break in posting this obvious fact here, how's that fair?
Sometimes its not what you say but how you say it. Had the OP gone pretty much like that, as I mentioned before this thread would have turned out a lot different. Part of this thread is that it was written in a knee-jerk style(from a poster who has been a very harsh Brooks critic since he took over the starting spot I might add) that should have been in the post game thread. Part of this thread is that it the point to be made was a no-duh point like the one you made in this quote. Part of this thread is some that agreed with the basic premise went that extra mile to bash Brooks. And part of this thread is arguing semantics over intent of thread vs what was written in the OP. Obviously the OP didnt catch a break from part 1 and 2. OP had nothing to do with the parts 3 and 4, at least from his OP. But he sure contributed to it later on in the thread. My final point is: What good does it to do criticize your young starting point guard. To the tune of just take the ball away from him. Bench him. What good is that??? If Lowry was >>>>>>>>> Brooks dont you think Adelman would have him starting by now?? I mean, surely this great epiphany of all you guys saying Lowry is better didnt come in the last week. Adelman watches the games, he coaches the games, and he even coaches practices. Surely he knows whats best for this team. My sig says what it says for a reason. While some posting observations about Brooks in this thread dont come off so much as a jerk, a a large number of the one hit wonders in this thread do come off that way.
