I see a lot more potential and talent in Brooks than guys like Head, V-Span and Nachbar. On the other hand, I don't think the Rockets are expecting Brooks to blossom into the next Tony Parker either. IMO the Brooks-and-Lowry tandem have shown enough potential to warrant another season, but I think it will depend on what happens with McGrady. If they trade McGrady, for instance, Morey may look to get a top point guard back.
In my opinion, Brooks will be a huge part to our success/failure. We have to realize that Brooks has a pretty big advantage in speed over Blake. He needs to use that to his advantage, drive, and kick out. His problem is he thinks he's going to get a call every time he drives, instead he just gets blocked. Brooks was a huge reason we won game 1, because he used his speed to his advantage. If he can just learn to drive and look for the open man, then he will be a huge part of the game.
You cut off the drive, you dont follow him to the rim, but you move to where when Brooks is at a certain point in the drive he will be able to see you and get a pass to you. The elbow is a pretty good idea. As is the top of the circle. Heck, even a wing three line spot is good, but sitting in the corner and standing there the whole time isnt going to help. Crap, crash from the corner and maybe Brooks can flip it up to ya. I always get frustrated when Wafer and Brooks drive to the bucket and the other guys not named Scola just kinda stand and watch.
LOL. Watch Aaron have an awesome game and then have DD proclaim himself the Nostradamus of Basketball.
He would get eaten alive on defense. I wouldn't mind seeing him play a little, but definitely not in place of Aaron Brooks.
What is more likely is a good game by Brooks will be countered with some other caveats other than he played well by some posters. I feel most confident when Aaron is not hesistant. When he is aggressive but hesitant, he takes a lot of shots but doesnt take good shots.(like game 5). When he is hesitant he may not take many shots, but the few shots he does take are poor shots because he doesn't shoot with any confidence. When he is aggressive and confident he has games like he did against Phoenix when he put in 30 or game 1 where he had 27. Unfortunately he doesnt do that very often.
see, Rocket is much much much much much much better! !!!!!!! Lowry is a much much much much much much better organizer!!!!!!!!
I've defended Adelman and will continue to do so but if this game is close in the 4th quarter and Lowry isn't in the game, I'll be at a loss for words...
He played with a lot more purpose thats for sure. Those threes where he didnt hesitate I thought were great shots. That's what he has to do. Now if he can add that FT Line jumper to those penetrations he will be a good fit to this team.
BTW, I love Aaron, he is my favorite Rocket next to Yao, but as long as he's not costing us the game is fine with me, although I feel the he might sometimes. Lowry just has a steady hand when the pressure is on, and makes safe decisions. Aaron will get there in time.
stop embarrassing yourself. 1. He passed the ball more, passed it earlier, isn't that what I suggested? 2. He plays better in non-pressure situation. The game turned when Lowry was in control. Rick put in Lowry with AB to have extra control in the backcourt in the 4th. 3. He played a better game tonight. Congratulations. 4. There's a lot less dribbling, he holds ball a lot less. 5. If anyone played big, it's Ron, and Shane, you absolutely dogged on. Check what you said yourself. 6. I know you would come in here, and go pimp your peptalk thread. That's you. It doesn't surprise me. 7. seriously, you sound like a troll. Shouldn't you Go drunk cerebrating somewhere?
No Mich, you said...Must Take Ball Out OF Brooks Hands. See.... When in fact you should have said. Must take keyboard out of Michecon's hands. See if any of the other Chicken littles have the courage to show up again in this thread. DD
