Sorry, some of these might classify as "artsy fartsy." Oh, well.

This is Spinal Tap - funny as hell.
Six Degrees of Separation - Will Smith's finest acting performance, ever.
Unzipped - HILARIOUS documentary film about fashion designer Isaac Mizrahi.
The Candidate - Early Robert Redford.
Sneakers - Really funny, suspenseful movie with an all-star cast.
The War Room - Great documentary inside look at the first Clinton presidental campaign. Fascinating whether you like the former president or not.
Trekkies - Side-splitting documentary about Star Trek fans.
Sleepy Hollow - Tim Burton is the master of the fairy tale.
Little Buddha - Bernardo Bertolucci's beautiful telling of the story of the Buddha woven into the plot of a modern-day story.

BTW, I saw a documentary style show about South Park.....

Did you know that the fight between Timmy and Jimmy was choreographed EXACTLY the same way as the fight in "They Live"?

    Interesting. Same words, also.:)

The lesser known prequel to this movie entitled "Das Shoe" was far more entertaining.:p

For war movies, (of which normally I'm not a huge fan) it's definitely a good one, even if it is in German. I've seen both versions - with and without English dubbing. 'Twas much easier to understand in English, but if you speak German well enough, it's not too hard to understand.

There are a couple of movies you should watch - so you can explain to me what happened. Elephant and Sex and Lucia. Elephant so you can explain to me what the point of the movie was. Sex and Lucia so that you can tell me what we watched - which you will get when you watch it. And there's plenty of naked chicks in Sex and Lucia to keep you occupied otherwise. :)

But don't read this to mean you need to see "Escape from LA". As good as NY was is how bad LA was.
