Considering Snyder is sort of smiling it looks to me like JVG is one of those annoying guys who come up to you in a party and tell you LOUDLY some joke or story that only they find funny.
Thanx. The "Bat Boy" post upthread sparked the idea, which took about 20min with Photoshop to execute.
great job, guys. btw, anyone knows if that tech was waived after reviewing the tape? the officials do review the tape, don't they?
i think if sloan did anything to artest, at that point i think artest would've pushed/shoved/hit even his own coach..
Artest is a tough ganster type. However, if a fight breaks up between Artest and Sloan, my money's still on Sloan. The dude was a dirty dirty player back then (not coach, but player). Artest will probably punch Sloan's face, but every Sloan's move will be on Artest's nuts. Artest will be on the group holding his balls in no time. Artest is tough, but Sloan is downright dirty. I take dirtiness over toughness anyday.
Hmm... Is it just me or is Gundy gaining some love around here? Nothing beats a coach fighting tooth and nail for his team. He gets alot of respect in the locker room for things like that. I can feel the love growing. Like when I was a young boy in the Dominican Republic. I saw this goat and...
As much as we are all Jazz haters, I think that Jerry Sloan's words are the epitome of class and professionalism beyond basketball. This action and explanantion by Jerry Sloan gives me hope in humanity. Sure this is a sport and a game, but we should always retain dignity and respect for others. Racism, juvenile behavior and lack of self discipline will not be rewarded, but punished. Sloan to sit Snyder Having seen the tape of Kirk Snyder's taunting of the Rockets' bench on Monday, Jazz coach Jerry Sloan said he would not play Snyder today against Denver, adding that he would not have played Snyder again on Monday had he seen the episode. Snyder said he was actually looking into the crowd and denied a charge by Rockets guard Bob Sura that he made a racist comment to Jon Barry during a previous game between the Rockets and Jazz. Sloan said the tape was clear that Snyder was not looking into the crowd Monday. "I'm not going to play him the next game," Sloan told the Salt Lake City Tribune. "I watched it on film. I thought it was ridiculous what he did. It wasn't a casual thing like 'I was looking up in the stands.' He went right over to the bench. He wasn't looking up into the stands. You have to be held accountable for some of those things. To me, it really could have been a serious situation. "Kirk talks a lot. He should just save his talking for when the game is over. That's what we're hoping to get our guys to do."
