mods, please don't lock this thread, the poster is really trying to generate a good discussion. I think we could bring in some "pure" type PGs without using Francis (or hopefully mobley). None of the available PGs have big contracts to match anyways. It makes the best sense to bring in a long term contributor at PG to either start along w/ SF3 or come off the bench when need be. Hinrich looks like the best bet that Rockets try to go after. I really want the PG to be under 26 yr old. I like Mobley, but sorry, you are kind of expendable... As far as PF, I think either Taylor or Cato will be gone.. Cato more likely.. but we will diminish the backup C quality... Anyone know how's it going with Badiane? btw how many draft picks do we have this season? Don't overlook the power of the rookies! Just look around the league! Marquis Daniels? I forgot to add that Francis is important to the team not statistically, but more spiritually. Obviously he's the emotional leader. He plays hard and pours out everything every game. He's going to be more mature very soon considering his age. If he goes after this or next season , it won't look good as the team will find it heart-breaking. He's somewhat of the face of Houston bball..... I think we can live with his not so great Decision making but can't live without his aura on the court... Look at Dallas w/o Van Exel...
