Jorte is pretty good. I didn't read any of the readmes so it took more than 10 seconds to figure out everything but it's probably the best personal organizer

I would suggest purchasing LauncherProPlus and then using its built in Calendar Widget. Simply the best calendar widget. You can easily switch between a monthly calendar and your daily widget with the touch of a button. And its right there on your home screen.

Another app that is great is HomeLocker Widget. Lets you customize the homescreen with widgets, etc.

I have a Samsung Galaxy. Battery life seems to suck. Anything I can get to help me improve it?

Most of the battery saver apps are trash. At best, just an amalgamate of various settings.

You can disable background data (Settings>Accounts & Sync)...unfortunately, this disables sync and you have to turn it back on to access Market, but this makes a major improvement in battery life.

Also, if your carrier's version of the Galaxy has one available, an update to Android 2.2 will help a bit.

Make sure to DL advanced task killer and use it when you're done using an app. This will help save battery by killing whatever apps you may have running in the background while not in use.

I have the same problem. I ran around in Hamburg today, trying to buy a second battery, no luck. I'll just order at least one more battery on the internet. If I use the phone heavily, it doesn't even last more than half a day, that's just not acceptable.

Seems to be an issue with a lot of that series of Samsung Android phones (Galaxy, Fascinate, Vibrant, Epic4G), just across the board.

What are the advantages of Poweramp over MixZing? If it's not significantly better, there's no reason for me to pay for it.

The Equalizer is a lot better than the one on MixZing. Not only that, PowerAMP has a more sleek UI as well...

It truly amazes me to see the MyTouch 4G ranked so high in all 3 categories. I feel sorry for people who have other models on these lists with much worse battery life.

I have an epic 4g galaxy s. Don't use task killers and update to 2.2
If you have an epic. Resetting the radio by going into airplane mode and back out will fix issues sincethere is an issue where the phone will search for a non existant gsm signal
