For MAC user's I'd format to exFAT. Newer tech and allows you to transfer 4GB+ files over to teh sd card. Tip to remember for externals too.
Definitely awesome. Day 15 into my billing cycle and I have only used 17 minutes. Works great over LTE and even verizon slow associated 3g.
Not sure if its' the best, but this is what I use https://market.android.com/details?...mNvbS5nb29nbGUuenhpbmcuY2xpZW50LmFuZHJvaWQiXQ..
EDIT Sorry, I thought you were referring to AirDroid. You have to get a new number from Google Voice (It's free) http://voice.google.com
Not exactly on-topic, but wasn't sure if this warranted a new thread. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/gUXUjjg9qQ0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Read a bit more about it: http://www.ubuntu.com/devices/android http://www.androidcentral.com/ubuntu-android-becomes-real-looks-take-motos-webtop-experience Thought this was really cool.
Here's a Dropbox APK that ups your total storage by 3GB: http://www.mediafire.com/?15msg5ur36cwe39 All you have to do is uninstall your current Dropbox app, install this one, and sign in. It'll send you an email shortly thereafter verifying the increase in storage space. You can then go back to the standard, Market-issued Dropbox app. Original thread at XDA: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1511381
Also, here's a flashable zip that adds Beats Audio functionality to any Gingerbread ROM: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1525226 Of course you'll need to be rooted with some sort of custom recovery installed.
Thanks! Worked for me on my Galaxy Nexus running AOKP Here is a direct link for those of you on your phones, and to prevent XDA from getting more traffic http://dl.dropbox.com/u/28393515/dropbox_3gb_htc.apk
LOL...I actually thought "Man, I'm gonna hear it from Scionxa for all these XDA links" when making those last two posts
I wouldn't flash this unless you make a nandroid, and have knowledgeable experience of using ADB and/or fastboot for your device. For sound improvements on a root level, I would look for a kernel (if your device supports it) that has a hacked audio driver. Most Samsung phones support "Voodoo Sound" by SuperCurio
Haha, it's cool. I understand a lot of development for specific devices comes from there. I just have an issue with the general attitude from users on that site. It's not very friendly to "noobs" which I disagree with since we all started off that way. I like to help the end user, not ridicule them for posting a thread in the wrong section lol. but thanks for posting that, needed that extra dropbox space
Dolphin browser is glitchy and slow. Used it since the G1 release, just became worse and worse over time.
Is that so? It worked well on all my other devices but I have not even touched it once since I got a Galaxy Nexus. I'll point out that I used the "mini" version. Once phones get updated to Android 4.0, the stock browser and/or Google Chrome is plenty sufficient
