hmm...thats actually the only album of theirs i ever got into. it reminds me of the stones beggars banquet, as both of them have a noteable absence of electric guitars.

Ben Folds - "Live" Matisyahu - "Live At Stubbs" Breeders - "Last Splash" Ben Folds Five - "Whatever and Ever Amen" Audiobook: Carlos Castaneda - "The Teachings of Don Juan" read by Peter Coyote

not an album, but the live version of "London Homesick Blues" by Jerry Jeff Walker with Gary P. Nunn is absolutely amazing.
Danger Doom -- The Mouse and the Mask Imogen Heap -- Speak For Yourself LCD Soundsystem -- s/t Sufjan Stevens -- Illinois Beck -- Guerolito (how common are diereses in printed Spanish these days, anyway?)
I am alternating between three T. Rex classics The Slider, Dandy in the Underworld, and A Beard of Stars. T. Rex was definitely in his own world. I guess his music is as close to travelling through it as anyone can really get.
I believe G. Love-The Hustle. Since I started using my iPod, I never listen to actual CDs anymore. I simply shuffle all my songs on the iPod. I love it.
I have an mp3 player, i still buy cds though, it just feels good to say, i own that album, besides that i like to support artists i enjoy. My old ipod broke, got a creative zen touch, dont know if i like that much, might end up getting another ipod sometime, dont know like the ipod better than creative zen touch.
thought the white stripes fans might find this interesting... http://messageboard.tapeop.com/viewtopic.php?t=31297 i also paroose the tape-op.com message board. tape-op is a music/recording magazine. anyway, in this thread one of the engineers from get behind me satan posts a little info about recording it. the entire album was recorded in 8 days all at jack whites house in detroit. drums were recorded in a stairwell w/ 12' ceilings. recorded on 1'' reel to reel tape and only used 1 type of mic (had 6 of the same one). makes me appreciate the record all the more.
Just a heads up, Ester Drang is a freaking unbelievable band from Oklahoma, has sort of a Radiohead sound. If anyone ever wants anything from them (or any of my music for that matter), just hit me up on AIM.
Jo Mama's got good taste! (That sounds kind of dodgy..) I am listening to the live version of "On Your Own" by Blur right now on my I-River. In the car: The Shins last album, Supergrass "Life on Other Planets", Blur "Parklife", Sleater-Kinney "Dig Me Out," Paul McCartney "Ram," Aretha Franklin "Young Gifted and Black."
you wont regret picking up Arcade Fires funeral. one of the best cds ive heard in a while. Blue Octobers new cd comes out march 14th, and you better believe that ill make a thread specifically for that band. love love love blue october.
