Eric Prydz next weekend, The Who in April, Tori y Mori, Chain Smokerz and bought tickets to Purity Ring
Gonna hit some SXSW stuff next month (sticking to only free shows though, I'm on a budget). In April I'm gonna hit Sleater-Kinney at Warehouse Live on April 18, and either Wilco or Father John Misty on April 23 (same day at different venues, such a painful choice). Also have second row tickets for Sufjan Stevens at Jones Hall on May 11. Going to Bonnaroo in June. Not super impressed with the line-up at all but that fest is so much fun and my friends convinced me that I should go, so I'm doing it. Trying to work in a second fest for the summer. I think the main ones I'm considering are Austin Psych Fest (more realistic as its driving distance and I have a place to stay), Shaky Knees in Atlanta (one of my favorite line-ups ive seen, but would be an expensive trip), Pitchfork Fest in Chicago (really wanna visit Chicago and has a decent line-up), or Eaux Claires in Wisconsin (sounds cool and has a good line-up). May end up going to none of them, depends if I have enough money I suppose
You mean Lucero. I'm going to Lucero. In Houston. I assume you're going to the show in Austin since that's closer to where you live. No Sturgill though.
Can't make it to Austin on a Thursday night, I don't think. Will you please let me know if you come across an extra? All other past pee pee games aside, for realzies.
Didn't realize Cursive was touring much less in town. I guess I'll have to go to that on Sunday. Gonna be a weirddddd Monday at work. If anyone is going to Cursive, Lucero/Bingham or Two Gallants - the beers are on you.
I'll buy the beers. You get me in the door. And before you can say it, the only time I've had a miller/bud/coors/etc. is when it's free. Cause I don't care where you reside, free beer is free beer. Anyone going to Drive-By Truckers next Friday?
Hell yeah! Gonna be a great weekend at Fitz. Saturday night the great Houston band The Beans are on the bill with Walker Lukens from ATX. Saw Lukens and his band (maybe the Sidearms?) open for Houston's The Tontons the other night at the new Nightingale Room (on Main under Bad News Bar) and he impressed with some unique vocal jams layered and looped on top of really dancable funk/soul/rock grooves. In other news, writing on phones sucks.
Anybody get extra Grateful Dead tickets they need to get rid of to a fellow GD.netter? Didn't think so...
