So pissed I'm missing Dr. Dog this weekend. Ben Kweller and Delta Spirit next month DMB in May Head and the Heart, plus FPSF in June
I've got to work Fri And Sat but if you want to see a great guitar player go see Gary Clark, Jr. Friday night at Warehouse Live (I've never been there)
Radiohead last night in Dallas: 3 songs from OK: Karma, Climbing up the Walls, Paranoid Kid A: everything in it's right place, idioteque HTTF: There There (great version), gloaming KOL: every song except codex IR: 15 step, bodysnatchers, fishes, reckoner Amnesiac: pyramid daily mail, staircase, a few other new ones Great show!
During SXSW I hope to see Reptar again, Soldier Thread. I will definitely go to whatever free shows I can. Billy Corgan is going to be there supposably so I'm hoping he will do an acoustic show somewhere. The next weekend I'm heading back to H-Town to see Naked and Famous. CANT WAIT.
Amen to that. Next big show I'm going to is the H-Town Jukes at the Capitol at St. Germain on Friday April 6th.....
Wish we got Karma Police here in Houston, but I would have been sad if we didn't get Nude. Both were pretty legit setlists!
Absolutely- I would have liked just one, just one song from The Bends. I do like that they covered at least one song from each of their last 6, and I respect them for not making it a "greatest hits" concert.
Question for the folks that went to any of the Radiohead concerts: Do you know what time the opening act and Radiohead took the stage? Need to go talk to one of my professors tomorrow during office hours but don't want it to interfere with the concert.
I logged on to buy Black Keys tickets yesterday, any seat worth a damn (and at the Woodlands half of them aren't) was $200.
Last minute, but if anyone in Austin wants to go to the sold out Girls show that is starting soon, send me a message through the boards in the next 15 mins. My wife isn't feeling well so I'm going to head up there solo and just give away the extra ticket.
How to be cool: roadrunner style! <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/WOOFx9c6qyA" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
*Austin Residents* The 'Experience Hendrix' show is in your town tonite and tomorrow nite. Dubious says "Go! Definitely go!" The line-up for this one show is like an entire Guitar Summit... Eric Johnson does a half hour, Los Lobos does a half hour, Kenny Wayne Shepard, Jonny Lang (does the two Dylan/Hendrix songs) and maybe the best segment, Robert Randolph and Bootsy Collins do a straight up funk interpretation of Hendrix you won't believe. The show ran well over 3 hours, of the best music there ever was.
