Dunno if anyone is going, but Voodoo fest has made a bunch of adds since the initial line-up (My Morning Jacket, Crystal Method, White Rabbits, Kelis, Rusko, Kaskade, the Whigs, bunch more) and released the day by day http://thevoodooexperience.com/2010exp/daily-line-up/ Really hope there is a few more adds for Saturday since that looks kind of weak but still really excited. Sick electronic line-up. And seeing Muse again is gonna be great. Otherwise im just got LCD Soundsystem on 10/8 Also got two tickets for Vampire Weekend with Beach House on 10/7 at Verizon that im selling for face value. Decided to go to LCD Soundsystem instead and I can only make one. Just selling for facevalue (It was 43 each with with fees, just selling for 40 each). Anyone interested can PM me.
Verizon? Figured names like that would be at Reliant Arena or Woodlands or something. Be pretty crazy to see them at Verizon though But im not a big metal guy so meh
Yeah I was a bit surprised myself. I went there to Megadeth's Gigantour a couple years back. It was awesome. I'm expecting some sort of bodily injury at this show and I'll accept nothing less. \m/ >_< \m/
bombastic, antagonistic, sonic assault. yes i just saw shellac. it was kind of like a gentle ass raping.
If you are in Houston, go see Foals at Fitzgerald's tomorrow (Friday). Math rock goodness. A band like this normally doesn't tour this part of the country. <object width="640" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/PGrZkUQ6_r8?fs=1&hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/PGrZkUQ6_r8?fs=1&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="640" height="385"></embed></object> http://www.ticketstorm.com/event/foalsesbenandthewitch/fitzgeralds/houston/4733/ Also check out Born Ruffians on Oct. 14. Its a mega show with The Soft Pack and The Futureheads. <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/lXAStBDZRsI?fs=1&hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/lXAStBDZRsI?fs=1&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object> You'll thank me later! Butthole Surfers Fri 10/29 - They perform "Locust Abortion Technician" (1987) live. Sun 10/31 - They're playing with the Meat Puppets. Both shows at The Scoot Inn in Austin.
Saw Vampire Weekend last night for the hell of it and it was good, but I was more impressed with the opening band Beach House. I'll be seeing Lissie sunday night at HOB bronze peacock room, I think shes cool Portugal the Man, Monday night at fitzgerald's
LCD Soundsystem tonight at Verizon. Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros tomorrow at Warehouse Live. Warpaint Sunday night at Fitzgerald's. Anyone going to see The National tonight? I'm bummed that I can't make it because I really love their latest album, but I'm not missing LCD.
I saw Anthrax, Megadeth, and Slayer on Sept 26 at Verizon and HOLY CRAP it was awesome. My 1st time seeing Slayer and they killed it. 4th time I'd seen Megadeth and they were at their best. Mosh pit was huge. I came out with scrapes and bruises and I was sore for 3 days. Totally worth it.
