I saw Porcupine Tree a few weeks ago in the House of Blues Houston and had a really good time. This was my first PT show and they sounded and played great. Very entertaining. I'm going to see Rush at Red Rocks and again in the Woodlands (3rd row!).
Finally headed to Boston next week to see Massive Attack. I was bummed out that I missed Lupe/B.O.B. earlier. I want to catch a Bruno Mars concert pretty soon. He's unusually a better live performer than a studio artist
Should I see Silversun Pickups (With against me and henry clay people), Streetlight Manifesto (With Dan Potthast), Thrice (doesnt say who with), or Passion Pit (With Tokyo Police Club)? May actually be able to go to more than one but I don't know for sure, gonna try to make at least one.
I've seen both Silversun Pickups and Passion Pit in the past, and if I was going to see one of them again I would go to Silversun.
I'm a pretty big fan of silversun, so I'm leaning towards that, though I have seen them before, I saw them open for Muse, forgot to mention that. That was only 8 songs though and missing a few of my favorites. Passion Pit im not as much a fan, but it seems like it'd be fun, like a big dance party, so thats why im considering that
Passion Pit was a fun show just like you'd expect, so if you've seen Silversun before then you should consider going to see them. It's just that Passion Pit is pretty low on substance so I have no interest in seeing them again, but it is a good time and worth seeing once.

Ben Folds on Saturday was okay. It was great to hear some of those old BFF songs, but without a full band, it felt like it was just missing something (like a band, perhaps?) Having seen Ben Folds Five 3 times, this was kind of a letdown.
just got my Ticket to Summerfest in the mail so I'm going for sure. I need to get my tix for Caribou and Passion pit.
wish i had known, i would've bought you a $10 beer! the opening act was hot though. and the luckiest is going to be our first dance song, so it was all in all a good night.
Ha, that's funny. I went to buy 2 beers for me and the wife and gave the lady a $20 expecting to get a few dollars back and leave a tip. All she gave me back was a receipt! I had heard that the bartenders there add their own tips to credit card bills without patron's knowledge, so I was on the lookout for it. I must have looked like a cheap b*stard standing there looking at the receipt. I felt like George Costanza at that calzone place.. Anyway, good choice on The Luckiest. That was our first dance too.

Here's the only video I took during the Massive Attack show on 5/13 at House of Blues in Boston. The show was f'in amazing. So much better than when I saw them in 2006. It ranks either first or a slight second to Portishead on my list of all time favorite shows.
