It has to be a band, not a solo act, so saying that you don't like Taylor Swift doesn't count :grin: Let's also leave out the boy bands, because they are too easy to hate as well, so let's say only bands that had a singer and instruments being played. Name up to 3 choices. No need to justify your hate, you just don't like them. It is what it is. It would be fun to see some of the sacred cows named though. I'll be first: I don't like the Beatles. I have never liked any of their songs. I don't like Pearl Jam. I thought it was whiny and pretentious in the 90's and hearing it today still reminds me of why I never liked them in the first place. I don't like Nickelback. All their music kinda sounds the same to me and it's all catered to the drunk bar crowd, maybe it's just part of me getting older(get off my lawn!)

I'm not a special snowflake, I just don't like the Beatles. Besides, this is a thread for others to say what popular bands they dislike. I want others to name some of the other sacred cows, Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones, Metallica(I happen to like all those).

I don't like the Black Keys. I feel like their music is soulless and formulaic, which, fine, I guess a lot of music is -- but blues can't be, and theirs is. I often doubt that they are even humans, and think they are robots designed to pump out blues rock -- like they are creating it based on marketing research and music algorithms.
Nickelback is too easy. I don't hate nirvana, in fact I actually quite enjoy Nirvana, I just don't get what the huge cultural deal was. They do nothing more significant than the other Seattle bands at the time. Also what's pretentious or winey about pearl jam? Odd description. But then again, you don't like the Beatles, that's like saying I hate music. ��
