Chuck4, is it any good? I thought "X" was pretty terrible. Euphoria not much better other than "Promises". I actually liked Slang. I've read that their covers album was really good - love the Badfinger cover they did.
whats gonna work? TEAMWORK! I have to say that the show is growing on me. I'm admittedly bad with the remote control (leave on channels that I'm not watching like the spanish channel, etc.) but I found myself leaving this on the other night after the kids went to sleep and it took a good 10 minutes before I realized it. The phone. The phone is winging.
"X" was simply an abomination. I liked "Yeah!" (the covers album) a lot. However, I really enjoyed "Euphoria." This album has some range to it. There are some that sound kind of 90's alternative, then there are some that sound like they could be straight off of "Pyromania." I'd recommend listening to it on youtube first before picking it up. But like most Def Leppard albums, Im liking it more with each spin.

I am listening to: Jenny Lewis sings a lot of backup, along with appearances from people in the great Beachwood Sparks. Just an awesome album, best title of all time, too! Nick Cave gets better and better. I put this on the other day and my wife asked if this were a greatest hits collection. Every song is great. What a bummer he died.
I can totally relate to that! <object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/wwfAKFg-0-Y&hl=en"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/wwfAKFg-0-Y&hl=en" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object> Jumper - Third Eye Blind
It's a good show. The animation is unique and the songs are catchy. I just wish I could get them out of my head sometimes! Listening to "MC Chris Is Dead" by MC Chris today. He's going to be here in July. He did "Fett's Vette" for those who remember that.

I did my weekly beachfront preview of new music this weekend. 1. Elvis Costello - Momofuku Nothing out of the expected for Elvis. If you like him it's more of him (I do). When he rocks on this CD, he rocks hard. More eccentric lyrics about murder and some odd beats and chord changes. Like all Elvis Cd's you have to be fully engaged in listening to it, it's not idle background music. 2. Ringo Starr - Liverpoole 8 Nobody on this board is going to dig this Cd. It's sentiment got a little sappy even for an original Beatlemanic. I do suggest however downloading the title cut. It's got a sweet little retrospective of Beatles history with some excellect Dave Stewart production values. In fact to me, though there is no Jeff Lynne on it, the whole thing sounded like Ringo singing on a Electric Light Orchestra CD. I really only downloaded it myself because I saw the HBO interview special. I might spin it again on a Sunday morning, maybe.
Loaded up the new 8 gig iPod this weekend. Ten Hands - Kung Fu (Is What I Like) Ten Hands - The Big One is Coming Ten Hands - The Big One That Got Away Earl Harvin FTW.
You just can't throw an esoteric CD out there without comment. But of course, since I value your artistic sensibilities I'll have to go look this one up. Edit: Ah, one of those Pixies pseudonyms.
