Just got Still Feel Gone by Uncle Tupelo. Love it on first listen. I always wondered if they stayed together how good they'd be after all these years. Of course that means we would have never gotten Trace, Yankee Hotel Foxtrot, Being There, etc.
Look who finally decides to embrace their 80's sound again. Welcome back Bon Jovi. It's been a long time. A modern sounding album with guitar solos, a few shout along choruses, pounding drums and a great vocal performance by Jon. Bon Jovi - The Circle

I'm still rocking out to Say Anything's records. I'm waiting for their new self-titled to come out on the 3rd. Two Tongues also has a self-titled cd that's pretty good. Otherwise, I'm looking for new stuff that kind of fits in that mold....
i'm listening to Codeine, Bark Psychosis, Durutti Column, The Autumns, Flying Saucer Attack, Windy & Carl, Rachel's, Dirty Three, Animal Collective, TV on the Radio, Grizzly Bear, and Swans. ALL AT THE SAME TIME.
Wow that is impressive. Can you burn me a copy of the CD? Send me an email to thegaryisasmartass@yahoo.com with further instructions on where to mail it. Thanks.
Wayne Coyne, is that you? But yeah, I admit I did this with Zaireeka back in college. Remember the old Windows Sound Recorder? They actually had a function where you could overlay two wave tracks. So, I ripped all four discs and just overlayed a new track three times, burned it to cd, printed out the front and rear covers, and put it all in a single case. Wayne would not have approved.
...and the meeeeek shaaaall innnnheeeeeriiiit the eeeeearth..... There was a pub me and my friends used to go to that had 2112 on the jukebox. One quarter would play the entire first side. If the place was ever too crowded, we would put a dollar in and play side 1 four times in a row. By the time is was over, the place would be half empty and we'd have our waitress all to ourselves. Good times.
