    The Fabulous Thunderbirds with the great Kim Wilson and Jimmie Vaughan in his prime on guitar, just killing it with Powerful Stuff, followed by She's Tough and My Babe. After that? His little brother Stevie, who used to sneak off with Jimmie's guitar as a kid and get yelled at when he was caught. Live At Montreux in 1985 with Johnny Copeland, playing Tin Pan Alley. We moved to Austin in June of '80, just in time for a great decade of the blues in Austin.

    I listened to some UFO and they come across as Hard Rockers and edging into Heavy Metal.

    Status Quo also were Hard Rockers with some tilt to Boogie rather than Heavy Metal. Some of their early work was different.

    Since I was sticking mostly to the same type of music, Youtube eventually suggested Jackyl. Hadn't listened to them in many many years, so decided to go with it.
