The reason that I asked was because those artists that you mentioned Mazzy Star Liz Phair Ani DiFranco didn't really fit what I expect that people raised in the country - small towns would be partial to. I did stumble in the past with the stereotyping of people and music. Maybe 10 years ago, I drove with my Pop to a feed mill/store for an hour & 20 minutes. Listened to Polka music all the way there and knew it would be Polka music on the trip back. The location was very much a rural area. While the people at the mill were preparing our load of feed, I stood outside the office listening to this. while my Pop was inside listening to more Polka music. The owner's daughter (roughly your age) was handling office paperwork that day and stepped outside to get the mail or give somebody in the mill a message. She immediately recognized the song that I was listening to. I told her that I surprised she knew the song because I figured that people in that area listened to mostly George Strait and Polka music. She laughed and said that she knew much more music than that.
Badfinger Juanes Carlos Varela Ricardo Arjona Inspiration for a very great song (that didn't, alas, win her back): It's getting to the point where I'm no fun anymore I am sorry Sometimes it hurts so badly I must cry out loud I am lonely I am yours, you are mine You are what you are You make it hard Remember what we've said and done And felt about each other Oh, babe have mercy Don't let the past remind us of what we are not now I am not dreaming
Listening to the Jesus and Mary Chain B-Sides, Rarities Comp. It kind of just goes on forever and I don't seem to get tired of it. Spoiler
Both great albums. Dazzle Ships is so underrated, it brings tears to my eyes. Have you listened to the Video 5 8 6 22:00 minute version? I love it, despite the length.
