Widespread Panic does a ridiculously good cover of this, and Warren Zevon, and Others.... It'll make you boogie The Dead do great covers of everything...why don't you pick your favorites?
The range of what I listen to has expanded since I started posting in the music threads. I thought that you were the one who took care of business with links to music from The Dead.. I guess The Dead is going to be on my To Do List.. Not sure how many others here listen to The Dead.. I had been doing a variation of the 1990's Non American bands thread with the tilt to the much earlier Canadian bands. Maybe some Americans slipped across the Northern border.
[Music] Best 1990s bands not from America? Guess Who is/was Canadian. Bachman left Guess Who to form BTO. Triumph is/was Canadian. Rush is/was Canadian. I never got around to April Wine, but will go ahead and give them a mention.
Since I mentioned Triumph from Canada, will also give a mention to a cover band local to Houston with a similar name. https://www.originaltriumphs.com/ Original Triumphs started in 1960's BJ Thomas - Vocals Don Drachenberg - Sax / Vocals Tim Griffith - Guitar Gary Koeppen - Trumpet / Vocals Joined a couple of years later Ron Petersen - Sax / Vocals After several more years... Steve Wendtland - Trombone / Vocals
I am on Thin Ice when it comes to the 90's. I recently posted some stuff from Offspring and nobody seemed interested, so I went back to my Comfort Zone which is pre 90's.
I grew up listening to bands with a guitar attack and that is what I tend to listen to when exploring newer (relatively speaking) bands.. I recognize that and realize that is a limitation when trying to establish a footing with stuff outside my Comfort Zone. Would I have gotten a better response if I had posted stuff from Buckcherry?
