A masculine man can appreciate a feminine woman, you'd be hard-pressed to find a greater feminine artist than Sade.
I saw them at the Coliseum in December, 1969. They opened for Jethro Tull. The blonde kid on guitar is an 18-19 year old Danny Kirwan, who later, after Green left the band, had a lot to do with the 1971 LP Future Games. John McVie and Mick Fleetwood, of course, are playing here, as is Jeremy Spencer. The last song on this collection is from 1970, I think, in Chicago. It's from a gig they did on Playboy After Dark, believe it or not (the original Playboy Club was there), and at the end Hugh Hefner closes the show. While they play, it looks like some of the Bunnies are dancing. Crazy! @13:33 Jesus man.
De La Soul rapper David Jolicoeur, known as Trugoy the Dove, dead at 54 Wasn't sure if this deserved it's own thread, but for me it sucks. 3 Feet High and Rising is my favorite rap album of all time and probably in my top 10 overall. I don't think I fully appreciated hip-hop as an art form until I decided to give it a listen when I was in college. RIP Trugoy
Damn, sorry to hear, Rest in Peace. They made some classic records and a special Hip Hop trio. I'll add more on this later as well.
