YES! Make sure to D/l the second disk, Until the Freeze. It has several stand out tracks like Greenhorn and Lady of Avenue A. The whole album was recorded at Levon Helms barn in front of 200 lucky fans over 5 nites.

My favorite Simon & Garfunkel song of all-time! :p ;) Well, not really but I do like it a lot (Mrs. Robinson is probably my favorite song by them).

Nice list - very eclectic bunch, lol. I probably like Strange Days more than the self-titled debut but there are some days where I waffle (yet, "Love Me Two Times" is one of the greatest songs ever, IMO).

Is "Legendary Hearts" similar to "The Blue Mask"?? I read that they are similar but wanted to get the opinion of someone who is not a music critic (unless you are secretly Rob Sheffield or someone like that posting on here).

It is similar to The Blue Mask; the overall tempo and feel. For me though, I enjoy Legendary Hearts much more, inparticularly the second half of the album. When I q up Lou, I listen to the entire Legendary Hearts album. With The Blue Mask, only a few songs.

and no I am not a music critic.

a couple albums you guys snagged,

The Stone Roses - The Stone Roses
    Tom Waits - Raindogs
    The Clash - London Calling
The Beatles - the White Album
    The Who - Who's Next

I also tried to stay away from greatest hits albums or I would have included

Dio - The Very Beast of Dio

A friend came by and dropped off a CD and I decided to give it a listen this morning.

Tab Benoit: Best of the Bayou Blues

I have never heard of the guy, but damn, two thumbs up!

BTW, speaking of the blues, some of you know I was looking for a guitar to get back into the blues, electrically. I got a lot of suggestion and a great many opinions. But I ended up with a brand noone even suggested:

    Schecter, Diamond Series.

So far it's been good to me. We'll see what happens when we get in the studio.

Great list- 19 of those 20 are highly critically acclaimed CDs and rightfully so. Here's your anomaly which you absolutely nailed as a great CD- Long Distance Voyager. The Voice, Gemini Dreams, Meanwhile, Nervous- oh yeah, that's one of my all-time favorite CDs from a prog rock group, like Power Windows from Rush, that's the one that people say, "Huh?" as they both don't receive much recognition. But they're both excellent.

I'm pulling out L.D.V. today- 22,000 Days. YEAHHHHH!!!!!
