I was always kind of lukewarm on Black Crowes as a kid. If I was being honest with myself, I actually really liked the music, but was too obsessed with grunge/alt-rock to admit it. At my current advanced age I openly appreciate them a lot more, and find the music timeless. This song, for instance, has soul in spades.
Genesis - Foxtrot Rush - A Farewell to Kings 2 absolute stone cold prog classics that I sadly haven't listened to enough in my life but they rank right up there with the Close to the Edges, Dark Side of the Moons, etc.
watched a live version of Hyperactive! by Thomas Dolby on youtube and listened to 2 songs by Spiritualized off their album, "Ladies and Gentlemen, We Are Floating Into Space", in the title track and Cool Waves. That last song is such a great song - very uplifting and emotional.
Ten Years After - Stonedhenge Gillan - Glory Road About to change stuff up again on the iPod but will be going primarily with all-time favorite artists - mainly from post-punk and indie genres.
Been listening to nothing but Steely Dan the past month. 7.) Pretzel Logic - 8.5/10 6.) Royal Scam - 8.5/10 5.) Katy Lied - 8.5/10 4.) Gaucho - 9/10 3.) Countdown To Ecstasy - 9.5/10 2.) Aja - 10/10 1.) Can't Buy A Thrill - 10/10
Yo La Tengo - I Am Not Afraid of You and I Will Beat Your Ass Interpol - Our Love to Admire I can never get tired of that YLT album - I think I have listened to it over 100 times in my life.
Animal Collective - Time Skiffs Radiohead - The King of Limbs That AnCo album is a very good album - a good return to form.
