An anthem for the pandemic ... from the guys who are their own worst enemy Left Chicago high as hell One red line left on my cell Forgot my judgment at the bar The story of my life so far
New Toro y Moi is really good IMO. Really good groove album to put on and just let it roll which I appreciate. Especially this time of year swimming in the pool or like doing other things and just wanting groove in the background instead of sort of high maintenance listens. Also feel like even though Toro has been around longer he might pull in alot of new fans who sort of came into the Psych indie groove music world through Tame Impala. Really it's just the use of Flanger and drum fills but most people associate a heavy use of flanger now with Tame who use it like a primary instrument. anyways.... give it a listen. Good stuff.
Yes but sadly, only 2 studio albums and the excellent compilation album, "Substance". Oh if Ian Curtis could have stayed with us a little bit longer!
My band just played our first show in over two years the other weekend. We played with a great band from Denton called the Wee Beasties. I've been jamming their stuff since then. Highlights are the songs Riverside, Gay Pride, and Fleshlight. They do punk rock with bass, drums, two guitars, two vocalists, and horns (that provided backup vocals).
I didn't really know anything about him until I read through Wikipedia. Very tragic. If only someone understood his mental anguish a little better and had a better grasp on all of the meds he was taking for epilepsy. Gone way too soon. The brightest thing I can take from that is that it allowed the other Joy Division members to move forward and create New Order. Just sucks that we couldn't have had both bands long-term.
[Hipster cred]I saw them back when they were the Beau Brummelstones touring with Freddy Frantic, before they hit it big:[/hipster cred] Interested in how Tammy Wynette made it into folk. Do you legitimately think of them as such, or did you shoehorn them in because you don't generally have much of a "country" playlist and that was the best fit?
