The soundtrack of the film The Martian. That flick is probably the closest I’ll ever get to the Red Planet (something I didn’t believe during the 1960’s), and for the last year being on Mars has seemed more attractive to me than being on our own lovely ball spinning it’s way around the sun.
Amused to Death by Roger Waters Not exactly a lot of single material on there, but a remarkable album to kick back, relax and ponder from beginning to end.
Easily his best solo album but you are right, not a lot of single material on that one although the song "The Bravery of Being Out of Range" is a great one, right up there with the best stuff of Pink Floyd, IMO.
So when I was listening to the XTRMNTR album the other day, I realized how much I love this song by the Scream. I might even love it more than "Higher Than the Sun":
I had to go back and give it a quick listen as it's not that familiar to me. It's not yet a favorite of mine, but I do so appreciate it. I plan on exploring a lot of Pink Floyd, Gilmour and Waters in the coming weeks. Edit: I listened to your video by Primal Scream right after typing the above. That's right up my alley these days. Good stuff.
Although everyone seems to gravitate towards "Dark Side of the Moon" (and with good reason) or "The Wall", my personal favorite Floyd album is "Animals". Gilmour's "On An Island" is an underrated album.
I was an idiot when I was younger and completely ignored Pink Floyd in favor of harder stuff, new groups at the time and even other genres. It's not been until the last decade or so that I've come to really appreciate and seek them out--mostly on YouTube and an occasional listen on my iPhone or iPod--so I'm not yet as familiar with them as I would like. But I'll get there fast at this rate.

Fing love the chorus in this one. Great mixing Billy Corgan writing a song, and someone else singing= win
