The Knux - Bang! Bang! A relatively unknown Hip-Hop/Rock Band out of New Orleans. I just heard them recently, and i'm hooked.
yeah these guys arent bad. kinda dig this song. dont really like the cappacuino song too much though.
Yeah, Cappucino is one of my least favorite songs by them (It also happens to be one of their least rock oriented). Here's another one by them, "Roxanne" not to be confused with The Police.
This Drake video sucks. some of u guys may like it though <object width="560" height="340"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/osJeenhxoNM&hl=en&fs=1&color1=0x402061&color2=0x9461ca"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/osJeenhxoNM&hl=en&fs=1&color1=0x402061&color2=0x9461ca" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="560" height="340"></embed></object> what happened to the darker skinned chicks
I've listened to Mono before and passed. But I heard this today and was blown away. 4:30-5:20 mark is the most vivid and powerful minute of music I have heard in a long time. <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/pF0bFCvN17I&hl=en&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/pF0bFCvN17I&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object> also.... <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/i944Sp8RAc0&hl=en&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/i944Sp8RAc0&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object> <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/1gBPTK59YTE&hl=en&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/1gBPTK59YTE&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object> <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/y8r1kwjdc7Y&hl=en&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/y8r1kwjdc7Y&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
well that drake dude is not exactly "dark skinned" himself. so maybe thats what he likes. by the way curious how long that vocal style shelf life is. its spread like a damn disease. popular music is a freaking joke most of the time
wow landlord landry listened to all 4 of those songs. not really into the whole singing/vocals thing are you???

The bass player in my band drove Gruff Rhys around town in 2003 and got to sit in on a radio session he did at Kpft. I don't own any of their stuff but have seen them twice, they put in on a great show!
sunlight ascending: four sunlight ascending: all the memories all at once a nice lil review of this up and coming band....... Spoiler "If you were to just listen to this band on a whim without looking at a press release or Myspace page, your first thought might be how they have mastered that dreamy, instrumental sound that has become increasingly popular through labels like Temporary Residence and Rock Action. But I want to focus on the press release for a second. The age of the band members in Sunlight Ascending range from 14 to 21. It is pretty impressive that a band this young can play at a level that some musicians 10-15 years their senior aren’t even close to. If you are a fan of any of the bands (referring to Mogwai, Explosions in the Sky, and Maserati) and/or record labels above, I would have a hard time imagining you not becoming a fan of this up-and-coming band. To the band, I say keep up the great work and go for it. College is overrated anyways." - Late Night Wallflower boards of canada: macquarie ridge japanese gregor samsa: untitled 2 caspian.....lots of caspian, and lots of lymbyc system.
One of my favorite albums from one of my favorite bands. A lot of great songs on this record. I especially like "Prelude-Nothin' to Hide" and "Mr. Skin". I love the way Randy California played.
