They went on indefinite hiatus in 2006, but they have a new record out Jan. 20. It is really, really good. It's up there with their most stellar albums...lots of cool sounds, great Corin-Carrie vocal chemistry, just classic S-K kick-assness. To me it sounds a bit like a cross b/t All Hands on the Bad One and The Woods. There are a few songs officially out streaming right now, but besides the title track, I think they are actually at the weaker end of the record. I'm thrilled about how good this reunion turned out considering they are almost 20 years into their careers. I was kind of nervous when I heard about it, because I really did not want to see a dud in their excellent body of work, but they clearly can still show up and find the magic. They will be in Houston in April.
Since Christmas morning, my daughter has played nothing but 1989 by Taylor Swift all day, all night.... I'm starting to hum the songs to myself when its not on. Damn catchy album. These are dark days.
Every band you thought had broken up are back together and touring. Hell, even the Primitives are recdording new songs.

Great thread. I'm watching some college football and basketball and listening to my dude Action Bronsolino's Blue Chips 1 & 2. <iframe src="//www.youtube.com/embed/_mp5mGGkwKM" allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="315" width="420"></iframe>
