<br> I clicked on that POS and couldn't close it because I had wayy too many music tabs open. I'm going to clean up the blood thats been pouring out of my ears for the past two minutes now...
OK- stupid question- how does one include a YouTube clip in the body of a message like this as opposed to just a link taking you to the YouTube site? Thanks! Never mind- think I got it. <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/LGBPSx1Zxlo&hl=en&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/LGBPSx1Zxlo&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object> Oh, and Miles Davis, John Coltrane, and Thelonious Monk- it's jazz week.
Oops, had to switch for a second- didn't realize that Cheap Trick had a new CD coming out (new thread also contains the clip below, but had to post here, too). If this song is any indication, this CD will seriously kick a**: <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/ApBANSCr6iw&hl=en&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/ApBANSCr6iw&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object> and the 2nd song from their new CD "When The Lights Are Out" (synched to an old video/song): <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/ikLBEJtK6PM&hl=en&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/ikLBEJtK6PM&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

Ride - Nowhere Ride - Today Forever [EP] Where has this band been all my life? Like a cross between My Bloody Valentine and the Stone Roses with maybe a little bit of Spiritualized thrown in.
Man, that is so awesome that you got to meet AND hang out with Nick McCabe! I can see why you wouldn't like Ashcroft's solo stuff compared to The Verve's regular stuff. It is like Ashcroft goes overboard on the steel guitars and he misses McCabe dearly on his solo work (however I actually like both Ashcroft's solo work and The Verve material as well). Do you have the compilation CD of The Verve's called "No Come Down"? Other than their greatest hits, it is the only thing of theirs I lack (although that is not saying a lot since they only have 4 studio albums, lol).
Oh yeah, I'm all over that. Seriously, Ride is one of those groups that I have been needing to get something of theirs for awhile!
Nothing but the blues this morning (compilation) At the moment Big Bill Broonzy : Sun Gonna Shine in My Door Someday Nothing but the blues!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Half day at work so only 2: "Reading, Writing And Arithmetic" - The Sundays "Heaven or Las Vegas" - The Cocteau Twins
Hum, they were one of my faves in the early 90's. Saw two blinding shows at #ers by them, the last of which I sat on stage and air drummed along to Seagull much to the amusment of the band! Those two you mention are their creavtive peek; Going Blank Again was a bit of a let down and Carnival of Light is almost like a different band completly, it was very influenced by the on-coming titlewave called Oasis. Lead guitarist Andy Bell is now the bassist in Oasis as well. And if you like those shoe-gaze bands check out Slowdive if you haven't already. Here is a great blogsite that has aLOT of mp3s of those bands. http://shoegazeralive2.blogspot.com/
Yes, it has an off the charts good live version of Gravity Grave on it. If you give me sometime I can u/l it and give you some links to it as well as some killer B-sides that didn't make the last album. And in true Verve form some of which are better than the songs on the LP! Here is a myspace site I run that has live recordings of Verve, some of which I made myself and also pics of me w/them. http://www.myspace.com/thevervelivejudastour

RCA made a series of 3 channel "stereo" recordings in the late 50's, early 60s, including several operas with the RCA Italiano forces in Rome. To my mind, this is the best sounding of the group, and a stunning performance by the young leontyne price, richard tucker in great voice, and leinsdorf a surprisingly sympathetic conductor. the 2-channel layer sounds great as well, but you really need to hear this stuff as it was recorded, in three channel, no processing, straight from the master tape.
Team Teamwork Good Ass Remixes AND Ocarina of Rhyme It's a mashup of popular rap songs and smooth melodies of various types of music. It's freakin great. They took all the songs of Legend of Zelda: OOT and paired em up with rap songs like Still Tippin and The Chronic. Its epic, and i highly reccomend SOMEONE clicky the link.
