wow, my christian rap ears do not decieve me! good for him. I'm not a huge fan of Mars Ill, although I like some of their stuff. do you like Common Market?
Never heard of them. Are they any good? I like mars ill's stuff, but sintax's first album is much better than some of what they put out.
Common Market is a lil more organic and not nearly as crass as most mainstream hip hop, if you dig Mars iLL, you should dig Common Market. <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/t1MUpZAWuFI&hl=en&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/t1MUpZAWuFI&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object> <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/nR81pG2DI5A&hl=en&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/nR81pG2DI5A&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object> Blue Scholars version: Coffee and Snow covered roads <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/qREupDMEPAU&hl=en&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/qREupDMEPAU&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
I know I'll probably get flamed for this but I'm listening to Summer Girl by Stereos, a Canadian band that got signed by Universal Canada after being on a Canadian show called DisBand. <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/QY5gJkiFGks&hl=en&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/QY5gJkiFGks&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
yea bro, that is extremely ghey. Quite possibly one of the worst pieces of trash I have ever had the displeasure of hearing.
antony and the johnsons jets to brazil bon iver beatles- best of aphex twin massive attack ...i have so mellowed out lately.
That's some deep stuff right there, sounds somewhat like Tool. But when they have been doing it for almost 30! 30 years like the Church then we'll talk. The Church are infact the greatest band to come from down under. FACT! Still making great pieces of music, they have just released the album of the decade, Untitled #23.

Thanks - I decided to take a break from the solo artist genre and one of my big loves has been Britpop/alternative rock bands from Britain. One of these days I will get around to buying Oasis' last album.
You may have them in your collection but if not check the Verve's first two albums, A Storm in Heaven and A Northern Soul. Both are in my 10 ATF's, that good!!
Oh yeah, I have those 2 - took me forever to get A Storm in Heaven but it was worth the wait. What do you think about Ashcroft's solo albums? I love "Alone With Everybody" and "Human Conditions" is okay. I don't have "Keys to the World" but will probably get it someday.
Oh, that's a sore spot w/me, I bought AWE the day it came out and gave it away the same day. Never listen to any of his solo stuff after that. I saw Verve way back in 93 here in town at the long since gone Goats Head Soup. No lie, that show changed my life. I've been to the UK twice now to see them, first time in June of 95 at Glastonbury and in London the next month, and in November 2007 went over to Blackpool and London for 4 shows in 5 days, that time I got to meet and hang out with guitarist Nick Mc Cabe. I would say them along w/the Church and the Black Crowes are my ATF bands.
