Been on quest to find some hidden alternative rock gems from the 90s. Two bands I've liked are Tripping Daisy and Moose. TD had a pretty big hit with "I Got a Girl." Their follow-up album was better, but received hardly any promotion from their crumbling record label. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/hpXsxylUkFI" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Moose was a jangly shoegaze band (one of the first). <iframe width="420" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/cwyAjghdNsM" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

DC, I love Moose, especially the "Sonny and Sam" EP which figures the great song, "This River Will Never Run Dry". Pity that they gave up on shoegazing so quickly, though.
Hey Manny - 'Tis good to see you hanging 'round. I'll definitely give those bands a shot. That Tripping Daisy album DCKid mentions above is a real winner. Reminds me of the Flaming Lips 'The Soft Bulletin". Same producer I think.

Although I'll probably lose some indie cred, I'm really enjoying this new Coldplay album. Didn't like their last couple of albums, but this one has a very mellow sound to it like Parachutes. I don't think their newer fans will enjoy this album, but I've been spinning it for the past couple of days.
Not safe for work. Spoiler <iframe width="640" height="390" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/GmFp0I8AZqw" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
