Oh, and Manny since I know you are a Pumpkins fan like me you should definitely check out the latest Silversun Pickups album. Has a real old school Pumpkins sounds IMO.

It sounds like early 90's Van Halen...which, to me, isnt a bad thing. And I like Satriani more than Eddie.

I can't say I like it as much as the last album yet, but I haven't had enough time to fully digest it. It's a little difficult getting used to the fact that Conor doesn't handle vocals on all of the tracks this time around, but I've already found a couple of stand out tracks that I really like. I need to give it a few more weeks before I give it a final grade. It's definitely worth checking out though.

I never got The Doctor; always heard how awful it was. What's your opinion of it? I'm not sure I've heard a song from it unless there's one on the boxed set.

    Harrisment,

I'll have to remember that. I decided not to buy CDs for awhile but it has been extremely hard for me! :p

I really need to get the last 2 Primal Scream albums (their first and their latest) and 4 Charlatans UK albums (their first and their last 3) plus various CDs by funk artists like the Ohio Players, Rick James, James Brown, Sly and the Family Stone, etc. Just way too much stuff I like that I want to have - it's just not fair! ;)

I saw Tallest Man on Earth open for Bon Iver a few months ago. Disappointingly he is not the tallest man on earth, let alone much over 6 foot.

oops! It looks like that starts playing automatically. Mods feel free to delete the player if that's too annoying.

Amazing as always. It was the third time I had seen him live in the past 6 months. His concerts are like an religious experience almost.

    Sunset Rubdown- Dragonslayer
(I think this is easily the best of all their releases. One of my favourites of the year already.)

Check out the opener Harlem Shakes. They are a really great band. Sounds like Born Ruffians alot. Passion Pit new, full length album is pretty good as well.
