Just gave my first listen to 'Infamous' Mob Deep. I had heard a few songs from it but never the whole cd so I went ahead and bought it... This is one of the best rap cds I've heard.
pretty good <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/bBSropdYqtY" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
I shall do so, Manny... Must admit, I've never really given Gong much of a chance. Just seemed like too much of the prog in prog-rock for me. Looking back at some of the reviews, I found that my assumption that they were Kraut Rock; like say, Amon Duul II was off base... Will let ya know after a few spins. Listening to 'Built To Spill' lately. Especially : 'There's Nothing Wrong With Love' and 'Keep It Like A Secret'.

Damn you late to the party, but at least you heard it now. Great, great CD. Sadly Mobb Deep don't get enough attention in the greatest 90's/early 2k rap discussions.
Habits & Contradictions - Schoolboy Q I heard "Hands On The Wheel" on blog radio last week, had to hear the rest. Lyrics NSFW Spoiler <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/dGd9DTTrX4U" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Here's the Lissie cover of Kid Cudi's "Pursuit Of Happpiness" sampled in the song. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/PQMJCOT2wlQ" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Cloud Nothings - Attack On Memory Comes out tomorrow, but it's been streaming here: http://stereogum.com/920582/stream-cloud-nothings-attack-on-memory/mp3s/ Only 8 songs, under 30 minutes, trust me, make some time. I can't find any power pop that gets better than this- maybe equal, but not better: <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/3tC_l6TThE8" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
And an ode/slide show for some favorite ladies, past and present (especially Theron and Anderson): <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/FRhyXuywZUg" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
And some songs just make you go bats**t crazy at the wheel: <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/rx4QL0yi6nQ" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/6rQIwqNSkKU" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/0zwNUdk5roM" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/xx86CxKYtg0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
An excellent and brave version of The Smiths 'Panic' by LA's Kitten. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jN1rTKEgBys&feature=colike Enjoy... Can't speak for the rest of the cuts on The Smiths tribute album.

The Fall - Grotesque The Church - Hologram of Baal T n F - actually liked Hologram more than Forget as Hologram reminds me a lot of Priest = Aura which I now feel is their best overall album.
