Went out Friday night to support my brother-in-law's band. These guys came up before them. Man they are awesome. Brian Carrion sings the chorus he's a real cool dude, has a few solo songs that are pretty good and he's very versatile. I encourage everyone to look them up. They call it suburban hip hop. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/nWFJWBzd5-A" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> I guess I should include my bro-in-law's band as well: http://www.reverbnation.com/brothersgrymn
A Few Small Repairs - Shawn Colvin This is her best LP, in my opinion. She wrote the songs (with her guitarist, John Leventhal) while she was going through a divorce. Colvin won two Grammy Awards, sharing the Best Song award for Sunny Came Home with Leventhal. Anyone who hasn't heard this record needs to give it a listen. They won't regret it. Colvin doesn't tour much any longer, I don't think, but she's terrific live.
Don't get no better! Have a drink on me Mr. Carter! <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/4G9GTIwLdgY" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
