Appetite For Destruction, Lies, Use Your Illusion I, Use Your Illusion II. After not having listened to the Illusions for several years, they are even better than I remember. "Coma" and "Pretty Tied Up," especially.
Harrisment and I went to their show at Warehouse Live on Wednesday night. Similar to their album the performance was, well, out there. I loved it, very entertaining. Their live performance is very much like their videos: <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/5VeIL7juFE0&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/5VeIL7juFE0&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

Current Latest three... Ministry - Jesus Built My Hotrod Reverend Horton Heat - I Can't Surf Gwar - The Horror of Yg What can I say, the loud/fast mix on.
This 2-month old thread needs a revival, so my current fave is: Blue Oyster Cult Very underrated- intelligent lyrics, diverse musical styles, and great songs. I'm mostly into the period between "Don't Fear The Reaper" and "Shooting Shark." Agents of Fortune Spectres Mirrors Cultosaurus Erectus Fire of Unknown Origin Revolution By Night The best without a doubt is Fire of Unknown Origin. Any fan of hard rock should have this CD.
A couple of awesome new albums from Animal Collective ("Merriweather Post Pavilion" and Franz Ferdinand ("Tonight: Franz Ferdinand") and lots and lots of Neil Young following his awesome performance at the Big Day Out the other day.
Maroon 5 Remix album is a freaking masterpiece the new All American Rejects song is great, lots of hate/hostility in this album, and love it
Devo - Hardcore Volumes 1 & 2 James White & the Blacks - Off White Desert Sessions 1-10 Jay Reatard - Matador Singles Nathaniel Mayer - Why Don't You Give It to Me O'Death - Broken Hymns, Limbs And Skin
Delta Spirit - Ode to Sunshine If you haven't heard these guys, I'd suggest you do. Outstanding stuff.
just grabbed the new animal collective but haven't had a chance to really listen to it, but ive heard good things. as for me: more ryan adams than you would believe fleet foxes - st king khan & the shrines - supreme genius of thomas function - celebration (terrific album) warren zevon - excitable boy What It Is! Funky Soul and Rare Grooves compliation Neil Young - greatest hits/harvest moon kings of leon - youth and young manhood, aha shake heartbreak
Lately, I have been really getting in to the Fleet Foxes. The have a different type of sound. Very unique.
Sammy Davis Jr. - Ding Dong The Witch is Dead (to honor of Bush's last day) Mostly covers of the Pixes this week. Japanese Tribute to the Pixies & Dig For Fire - A Tribute to Pixies I put songs from those and others I have together in a mix.
Always plenty of good suggestions in the music threads here - until FFB rears his ugly head Shoegaze is making a comeback: Secret Shine Starling Electric longwave scarlet Youth - among others are putting out solid albums. Les Savy Faz and Sloan are in heavy rotation now along with Superchunk (not sure why) and the great XTC. Oh Yeah, never heard of them ,but if UTWeezer suggests The Dodos I'm gonna check it out. PSS, one other thing http://breakthruradio.com/content.php Break Thru Radio has a couple excellent shows. Most especially 'The Big Takeover' hosted by the magazine editor (Jack Rabid) of the same name. He has a show every Monday that I never miss. They are all archived so no reason to enjoy them on Monday only.
