Was able to get a leak of the new Wilco album and this thing is fantastic! A lot of great albums have come out this year (PJ Harvey, Panda Bear, Bon Iver, M83 - well not yet but you know..) and this one might be the best of them all. Granted I am a Wilco fanboy but still it is very, very, very good.
Well, then, I can't wait to hear it. I admit, I don't have a lot of experience with PJ Harvey, but I like Rid of Me - a lot.
For the true hip-hop heads. Dope beat by E-A Ski and Locksmith kills it as always. <iframe width="560" height="345" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/ykdNFbEf7uU" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> And here is one produced by Ski Beatz, the producer of Jay Z's first album. Apparently they are going to drop a whole album together. <iframe width="560" height="345" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/S-svMReoi1g" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

The Decemberists - The King is Dead Palo Alto Palo Alto - Heroes & Villains The lead singer of Palo Alto (James Grundler) was also the lead singer for the short-lived band, The Din Pedals (Waterfall, off their Plastic & Chrome CD, was featured on the soundtrack, I Know What You Did Last Summer).
should have been named 'Scratch Came, Scratch Saw, Now Scratch is No Mo'. best as a studio engineer/producer this album confirms that his creative juices have long dried up.
Yea, I wasn't too thrilled with it on the first listen. The best recent Scratch album, IMO, was this year's Rise Again which saw him working with Bill Laswell, Bernie Worrell, Tunde Adempe (from TV on the Radio), Sly Dunbar, and Ejigayehu "Gigi" Shibabaw (incredible singer from Ethiopia), among others.
I need to listen to some new music. Anyone have spotify and want to send me a play list? User name is: lue03
white denim just put out a live record of jack whites label, 3rd man. jack brought them to his compound to record infront of a live audience. 12 song set played really, really fast. these guys are one of the best live bands in the world...THE WORLD! <iframe width="560" height="345" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/0VNKAuRNjRc" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Right now anything by The Weeknd. I can't stand Drake for the most part but he was just wicked on this track. <iframe width="560" height="345" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/YWIhwplfx4Q" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> This is also a dope one <iframe width="560" height="345" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/t2_YyRBYZjM" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Love the use of the 808s in it.
