More 2011 albums: James Blake - James Blake Elbow - Build A Rocket Boys! Pains of Being Pure at Heart - Belong Low - C'mon As I mentioned in an earlier post, the POBPAH album is very good but I also want to mention that the Elbow album is very solid, too. For those that don't know - Elbow is a British band that is somewhat Britpop with dream pop and general alternative mixed in. They remind me of a more downbeat and serious Coldplay with Peter Gabriel as their lead singer.
Netflix streaming has a documentary about the NY Dolls called "All Dolled Up" that I watched recently; cool as hell. It's all interviews and live performances from around '73. Here's part of it. <iframe title="YouTube video player" width="480" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/Zxf0t29LCPQ" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> They also have a documentary about late NY Doll Arthur "Killer" Kane that I watched that I think is called "New York Doll". Pretty interesting even if you're not a fan.

WOW thankx Mr Brightside downloaded the whole album and it blew my mind off This guy is talented The Weeknd # House Of Balloons
They have some pretty great songs (especially The Morning) but their lyrics can be straight awful at times. A lot of Pitchfork d-riders loving them just because they think it's some "next-level R&B s***", eh. The album overall is pretty good though but I think I'm going to tire of it quick.
