found this on Sharing Lungs.... SubRosa: Americana female dominated black magick doom rock. A spellbinding and entrancing mix combining the likes of PJ HARVEY, KYUSS, L7, COVEN, and Appalachian Murder Ballads. <iframe title="YouTube video player" width="640" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/3tsjP2F5jDQ" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> the album is a little weird at times. but overall its really good.

if you're new to post-rock...I suppose it might be an interesting album. it sounds like good ole fashioned EITS to me. I liked that they tried to incorporate vocals and added some electronic elements...but it still ends up sounding like formulaic, twinkle-sparkle, repetitive post rock....also known as The Earth is Not A Cold Dead Place(2003). sounds really stale and non-innovative. uninspired and well...boring. This....on the other hand...Jesus Christ... <object id="flashObj" width="480" height="270" classid="clsid27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=9,0,47,0"><param name="movie" value="http://c.brightcove.com/services/viewer/federated_f9?isVid=1&isUI=1" /><param name="bgcolor" value="#FFFFFF" /><param name="flashVars" value="videoId=827979360001&playerID=88218671001&playerKey=AQ~~,AAAAAAAn_zM~,B6LaFUvNnt2RhwK5cjOvZ4hHQyd5XXC9&domain=embed&dynamicStreaming=true" /><param name="base" value="http://admin.brightcove.com" /><param name="seamlesstabbing" value="false" /><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true" /><param name="swLiveConnect" value="true" /><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always" /><embed src="http://c.brightcove.com/services/viewer/federated_f9?isVid=1&isUI=1" bgcolor="#FFFFFF" flashVars="videoId=827979360001&playerID=88218671001&playerKey=AQ~~,AAAAAAAn_zM~,B6LaFUvNnt2RhwK5cjOvZ4hHQyd5XXC9&domain=embed&dynamicStreaming=true" base="http://admin.brightcove.com" name="flashObj" width="480" height="270" seamlesstabbing="false" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowFullScreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always" swLiveConnect="true" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/shockwave/download/index.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash"></embed></object>
Swans - Soundtracks Of The Blind Landlord, You might actually like some of the tracks on it as they have sorta a GY!BE feel to them - very "post-rockish". However, the album is a double one and a monster at that - close to 2 and a half hours of music. I think the only other double I have that is that long is Aphex Twin's SAW, Volume II. A very epic album worth listening to if you have about 2 and a half hours to kill, lol.
