    Interpol - Interpol
    Daniel Johnston - 1990

The Interpol album isn't that bad but you can't help but feel that it should have been better.

Had to change pace and pull out some of the best CDs from the 80s - some famous, some not, all great:

    The Call- Reconciled
    U2- War
    REM- Life's Rich Pageant
Simple Minds- Once Upon a Time
    Midnight Oil- Diesel and Dust

The birth of alternative. Tremendous (damnit! Nightswimming makes me tear up every time.)

The Who, The Who, and The Who.

Anyone who doubts the influence that The Who has had on the musicians that followed them needs to watch the Who Tribute special on VH-1 Classic. Interviews with the Sex Pistols, Oasis, Slash, Sting, and performances from the Foo Fighters, Pearl Jam, Flaming Lips....great tribute to the best band of all time.

I just came back from a Future Islands show at an art collective in Baltimore tonight. It was one of the most amazing and energetic shows I've ever seen.
