Maybe it's the mood I've been in lately, but I've been listening to nothing but Frank Zappa going on a week now.
Yep, Forth was pretty good. Not near the pop and song-writing brilliance of Urban Hymns, but pretty cool musically with the swirling guitars.
I haven't been wowed by an album in a long time as much as the new Crystal Fighters album. Really amazing sounds produced by this band from East London/Basque country. <iframe title="YouTube video player" class="youtube-player" type="text/html" width="640" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/d9n7DMqbwgU" frameborder="0" allowFullScreen></iframe> <iframe title="YouTube video player" class="youtube-player" type="text/html" width="640" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/auNby_W_DYo" frameborder="0" allowFullScreen></iframe>

It's not the Blue Scholars best work. The Tobacco/Coffee snow covered roads was supposed to be a joke/explotation. The producer of Common Market is the same producer of Blue Scholars. Common Market dropped that track on a Tuesday, Blue Scholars used the same beat and dropped that track on the following Thursday. (hence the line in the Common Market track 'then the Scholars go and drop a dope video...yo, a stolen beat that was supposed to be on the next Common Market EP') it was rushed. regardless, I'm not really crazy about Blue Scholars flow on that track, but I'll take his lyrics over Kanye's superficial tripe anyday. I think this is one of his better works... <iframe title="YouTube video player" class="youtube-player" type="text/html" width="480" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/eKLgaLBhx68" frameborder="0" allowFullScreen></iframe> and Common Market's best track... <iframe title="YouTube video player" class="youtube-player" type="text/html" width="480" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/t1MUpZAWuFI" frameborder="0" allowFullScreen></iframe> Massline has some really good sht.
