the drums on Pyramid were done by Jerry. he recorded them before he died and the band decided to use them.

I like pyramid. some of it is really funky. but imo, it's not as good as Passages. I read somewhere that Maserati is doing a euro tour shortly and then thats it for the band. :(

    Bruce Springsteen - The Promise

It's the other album written during the "Darkness on the Edge of Town" sessions. Along with the remastered darkness cd its well worth spending the 80 bucks to have this.

    Velvet Underground & Nico

Possibly the most distorted, twisted, cacophonous, seedy, and - amazing- recording ever.

I respect you more and more each day.

I hope you give Stubborn Tiny Lights a try soon. I haven't heard an album this enormous, this deep, and sprawling since TWDY's eponymous joint. I honestly feel that 'The Infinte Regress' is more fluid than any album I have heard in the past 13 years (Deftones -'Around The Fur'). Every track works it's way into the next seamlessly.

I will admit... the vocals were hard to grasp at first, but after several spins, Jesus.....it gives me bonerz.

here is a link where you can download their debut LP for free.

I recorded this when they came to Houston. the audio is terrible. and I know it might seem pretentious, but seriously, this was one of the best shows I have ever seen.

I've actually just now starting listening to Muse. I know they've been out for awhile, but I'm just getting into their initial albums. Origin of Symmetry and Black Holes and Revelations are great albums.

Deadhorse, an instrumental rock band from Erie, Pennsylvania. not to be confused with the trash metal band Grandpa jo mama was referring to. ;)

their debut LP is available via their bandcamp page at: http://deadhorse.bandcamp.com/

or you can catch them live at woodchucks in Toledo, Oh with Sunlight Ascending, Good Weather For Airstrikes and La Vérité January 15th. courtesy of yours truly.

Rep for the Dead Horse mention. Still have my black corduroy ball cap somewhere. Unless the wife finally threw it out. Good times.

    in the rotation now,

    Dead Weather - Horehound
Captain Beefheart - Grow Fins Rarities
Beatles - Sgt. Peppers (was the only one that needed replacing by the time iTunes finally released the stuff, been a while and still love hearing it.)

Bah, sorry jo, must spread it around.
