160 gig??!! Jesus!! How much did that bad boy cost - if you don't mind me asking? I have a 60 gig and keep wondering when the day will come when I have to go even higher. :(

    Dude welcome to 2002.

Muse is one of the most popular UK bands right now and have been for a few years. They are in my top 10 fav bands.

    Absolution is my favorite album.

Sometimes the simplest answers are the best. I just got a compilation of Chuck Berry. John Lennon said something along the lines of "If rock and roll was given another name, it'd have to be Chuck Berry"

Also the new B-52's new CD is pretty good.

If you like female vocalists, the Dresden Dolls are fun. Sexy voice.

Totally agree- well, almost. I think rock and roll's true other name is PresleyBerryHolly. I don't discount the contributions of Fats, Jerry Lee Lewis, Little Richard, etc., but really, these 3 were the pioneers insofar as (1) Presley was the first true rock star, (2) Berry created the foundation for rock guitar, arguably the most important instrument in rock, and (3) Holly was the first artist to insist on having control over his music- writing his own songs, arranging the music, and, most importantly, having full control in the studio (and knowing how to use it). Not only did Holly's music directly influence the Beatles, the Hollies, Fleetwood Mac, The Cars, Bruce Springsteen, and countless others, but he was the main catalyst for groups like The Beatles who wanted to write their own songs. Didn't mean to overstate Holly's influence, but he is usually the one out of the three who is more forgotten about.

Well, mine was $515, but that's NZ dollars. I would say you could get one for $300. It's so worth it. I had a 20 gig Iriver for four years and loved it, but they are now going small. The funny thing is, there really is no competition for large sized mp3 players, at least here. I wanted a 60 gig creative zen for a long time, but they discontinued it. Anyway, I still have 90 gigs to fill. It's a good problem.

I know what you mean; it seems like I have constantly been rearranging CDs on my iPod, trying in vain to free up more space. If I had put all of my Miles Davis and John Coltrane stuff, I would have definitely filled mine up and then some!

That's great news as I figured the prices have probably gone down (reminds me of how expensive VCRs were when they first came out and now you can probably be given one for free these days). When I got my 60 gig, it was around the first part of 2006 and it was close to 300 bucks but that was over 2 years ago, though. But yea I am definitely going to have to go bigger in size. What I have been doing is saving everything I could possibly want on the iPod to my external hard drive - that sucker is 200 gigs.
