i dont listen to them nearly enough, but i am a huge fan of gram parsons/flying burrito brothers.... love me some old school honky-tonk.
This is my first real experience with them. I recognize some of the songs, but never knew who sang them. Really digging it.
grab "return of the greivous angel" by gram parsons. fantastic album. you can definitely tell that he was a huge influence on the stones.
I've been really into Celia Cruz and Tito Puente and the whole Latin percussion thing. Modern Latin music I'm not a fan of, but the oldies I can pretend I can dance to. It's pata pata time!
Nope, not a favorite. But that's like saying Lucky Town is one of my lesser favorite Springsteen albums- still a great album, but in the hierarchy, definitely towards the bottom.
buena vista social club is my only real venture into that genre (unless you include grupo fantasma), but i thoroughly enjoy them.
I see. Lucky Town is a highly underrated Springsteen album (I'll have to fire it up sometime tomorrow).
No the single Viva la Vida, that was released sometime last week. It's also on the new itunes commercials. But yeah the album doesn't come out until June 12th. Also listening to Usher's new album Here I Stand which came out yesterday. Haven't gotten a chance to listen to the whole thing but the songs I've listened to are pretty good.
