Tons of people I know that loved hair bands moved on to country music. They had to do something, hairbands were canceled back in the fall of 1991. Thank goodness.
Also @Buck Turgidson did you know that Bon Jovi has gone country at times? Same with Def Leppard. Brett Michaels of poison is all country now. I’m sure others have done it too. A lot of their fanbases went country. Rednecks were the only ones listening to hairbands past a certain age anyway. It was a natural conversion. It’s like the same people who still watch pro wrestling. and I’m not shaming good country acts either. Its that florida georgia line type ****
"I'm a Cowbooyy, on a steel horse I ride..." You're not a cowboy, you're from ****ing New Jersey, you're not fooling anyone. eta: this explains a whole lot of the "Kid Rock is no longer from Detroit, he's LouisaMissAbama county now" type bullshit
Whatever, private school boy. you have wanted to be a cowboy only since you saw brokeback mountain. Your country music choices are more frat boy adjacent than cowboy anyway.
