I haven't really listened since Too Dark Park. The VIVISECTVI tour (at #s) was mind-bending. I still haven't come down from that one...
got the New Hot Chip: One Life Stand. my fav. tracks: I feel Better One Life stand Keep Quiet Take it in
Been listening to this album today. Its really good. Quite smooth. Better then their last album, I feel.
Nice! You have to check out Mythmaker. It's not just raw and in your face like some of the older stuff. There is more texture and feel. The sound design is beautiful but still very dark
Songs About *****ing - Big Black At Action Park - Shellac Music Has the Right to Children - Boards of Canada
Hehe, I guess you are right but I always had an interest in it, any way. Just not as intense as you do, LL. I have always liked Sigur Ros (one of my 10 favorite bands ever but just as much as a shoegazing band as they are of being post rock) as well as Godspeed You! Black Emperor. I had dabbled a little bit with Tortoise and Explosions in the Sky plus I do like Slint and Talk Talk quite a bit. So, thought it was natural to explore similar type artists such as Bark Psychosis and Stereolab, for example. I also have been really digging the math rock which led to Shellac (and indirectly to Big Black because of Steve Albini) and I am going to get soon, "For Respect" by Don Caballero. Probably the genres that really interest me the most are as follows: Experimental Rock Free Jazz Post Rock Shoegazing Indie Rock Math Rock Post Punk Post Punk Revival I still like the singer songwriter, progressive rock, classic rock, new wave, folk rock, funk, fusion jazz, and all the other myriad styles that I have on the hard drive/iPod but the ones I listed above are the ones I have really been listening to of late.
Just let me know when This Will Destroy You is tops on your playlist Manny, at this rate, it should be any day now.

Believe it or not, I actually do have 2 of their albums and have them on my list of artists to listen to on the iPod, so you will probably see me list an album by them in the next couple of days. In Ear Park - Department of Eagles The Moon and the Melodies - Cocteau Twins with Harold Budd Farm - Dinosaur Jr. Made in China - Juliana Hatfield
Ya gotta love the internet. Here’s a group of Spanish kids who somehow found an obscure Canadian indie song they liked and did one of those one take, ensemble, dance videos to it. The artist goes by Brad Sucks and the song is Dropping out of School. <object width="560" height="340"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/edxmpq2axdo&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/edxmpq2axdo&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="560" height="340"></embed></object> See also: http://www.bradsucks.net/blog/
